Women are “complementary” to men, instead of equal

This part of the new constitution in Tunisia seems fair to me and indeed quite a good idea, BUT

Thousands of Tunisian women took to the streets of the capital to protest an article from the draft of the country’s new constitution.

The proposed legislation says that women are “complementary” to men, instead of equal.

*Carrying banners with slogans like “Rise up women for your rights to be enshrined in the constitution,” the demonstrators in Tunis

denounced the proposed article as an Islamist ploy to humiliate women, and reverse the principles of gender equality.

I'm assuming not all of them can be lesbians!

Honestly tho bro I don't know what's going on in here lately, everytime I come in here the whole muppet shows is all clogged up with serious political threads and what-nots! I mean I only get a limited quota of infractions to hand out per week and cos of Saint In Paradise totally ****ing with me at the moment I'm gonna run out before I get the chance to re-ban Cheesy/Dune!

It ain't all jam, this modding!

I know what you mean. It seems one rule for one and another for another. It seems fine for someone to come along to the muppet show and post a thread about the politics or fine art or something but if you try and post a favourite type of cheese thread on the main board, everyone goes nuts.

You can't even disagree with MLG over there without someone saying your bullying him or are out of order.

I say any more serious posts on here and we just ignore the original post and start listing good places to see titz or sports people as biscuits or something.

As compared to the old constitution ? :

"The rally came on the anniversary of the passage of the Personal Status Code (CSP) of 1956, which established equality between women and men, abolished polygamy and the practice of repudiation, under which husbands could divorce simply by saying so three times. It instituted judicial divorce and required mutual consent of both parties for a marriage"
