LGTL Posted 27 August, 2012 Share Posted 27 August, 2012 I know one thing, I sure as hell wouldn't work. All this "I wouldn't give up my job" is a load of old bollo*ks.

It completely depends what you do, though. If I won the lottery there's no way I could be retired for the rest of my life; I'd need something to do day to day. The9 Posted 27 August, 2012 Share Posted 27 August, 2012 A bloke from near my old home town won £150m on the Euromillions in 2009 and appears to now be on the board of Newport County - currently miraculously top of the Conference... can't say I'd do the same. I'd go on endless holidays and buy a few places to stay in cities I like so I could travel shorter distances from "home". I'd probably also get a top quality grass football pitch made up in my garden and let some local parks teams use it - and a 3G pitch. Then I'd buy Umbro and get them producing decent kits again instead of phasing themselves out of kit production. I'd have to win at least £10m to even start doing that kind of thing though. I'd do a similar thing with that sort of money. I'd buy Romsey Town FC and have a 10 - 20 year aim of getting them into league football. Be prepared to just spend the obscene amount of interest earned on the club, which would equate to millions a year. And employ a lot of close friends to "work" with with me (its no good having that much money and not enough people to properly share it with).
