You are right of course. We should just throw the towel in.

Don't be a mug. The point I'm making is that dull days says that for new formation to succeed 2 of the 3 players need to be new and as a result will have to be signed in the next week or 1 of them does and the other Is someone who has never played there and we have no idea if he can. Does that sound promising to you?

I don't get this lee thing. He scored one goal didn't look that good and everyone thinks he's amazing. Don't think he's that good personally hope I'm wrong

He was the man of the moment because he scored a good goal and ran around a lot. Totally unproven and amazing that so many think he is the answer to all our prayers.

One mans promising is another man's doom on here Turdish. Let's try and keep it together and see what develops.

So what are your thoughts? Do you think it's wise to play a system which relys on us signing new players to play in it?

I think there's 38 games in this season, do you think I'm right or wrong?

2 down, 36 left. Well beaten at home by a likely relegation rival. Relying on new signings we havent made to play the formation we have. What's your thoughts?

Told by a very reliable source today 15million euros was transferred to a foreign account yesterday. Bologna chairman being an ass

Have to say the skeptic inside me immediately goes for the 'thats bollock; prove it' thought.

The fan inside me is streaming 'please god, be true'!!

Watched Swansea today and they were excellent! Could see a lot of similarities between them and us but the obvious addition to their game was pace...

We need this and time with new formation. Am very optimistic we will at the very least consolidate our position in league.

Tad lee coming back will make significant difference, as would someone pacy like Phillips? And that guile in final third Ramirez would bring.

Jrod is a wise investment, couple of seasons with a handful of goals minimum will mean he's worth £10m at least. Lambert won't play every game, here we must play Jrod through middle.

All is good, my fellow chaps, be patient and as season develops you will see us succeed.

I would not swap Adkins for anyone else out there! Top top manager, who players love playing for.

Up the saints!

Pretty good assessment

Pilchards and those who have quoted him why not remove the source as the last thing you want to be responsible for is someone losing their position.

It also has to be mentioned that all those who demand to know 'the source' of information are out of order and do not think of the consequences it could cause for the informants. It could just put them in a difficult position, it could mean there information supply is cut off or in worst case scenario it could lead to them losing their position.

What happened to trust? If someone gets it wrong and has no explanation as to why they got it wrong then surely that is enough to know how reliable they are. I use other forums and they do use reputation button which you can use to vote on the reliability and validity of their postings. Maybe this is something that should be looked at on Saints Forums.

FWIW I have met Pilchards a few times and he doesn’t strike me as a bull****ter and if he is presenting some information I am pretty sure it is what he would have been told.

TBH - he has hardly passed on information that most of us who have been following this thread haven't deduced already?

Its a bit of a poor state of affairs when a guy who works at the club on the retail side of things can't pass on a bit of gossip.

Back in the day that was what supporting the club was all about - a week of rumours and gossip in the town about the players.

Now we seem to be living behind an iron curtain.

Hmm, no problem with that but NC is well known for not being the most 'delicate' with those that transgress.

I know Norm and I take your point, but a sense of perspective is surely required here. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy was just putting 2+2 together like most of us are on here. It is what us fans do.

I am sure NC keeps things pretty tight to his chest - in fact last week it seemed that NA was semi in the dark.

The sooner this wretched transfer was done and dusted the better.

The reason why I mentioned him is because he has not really added anything that we all know, he just confirmed that the staff have met him & he did stay in Lyndhurst.

If its a big problem then a mod can delete the last page then.

I have removed the chaps position from posts. It's fairly common ground that Ramirez has been here and spoken to us, also if the club wanted to keep everything under wraps I wonder why they would 'introduce' him!

There are a blazing sun and that takes your breath away when its a noon and a half, at the end of the finish, Ramirez exits Casteldebole. From Bologna Gaston was already 'out' on Thursday, after the dispute with President Guaraldi now draws a big question mark on its future. Yes, the future. "I do not know what will happen, then decide on the president," is the only exception to the order of silence that Nino is allowed leaving the training center. Mute the goal. Where the goal is 19 on Friday, when the market closes and will know if it has changed Gaston jacket or if it is a separate house of Bologna, which will touch mend yet another tear. In the meantime, yesterday spoke to his agent, Pablo Betancourt, the man who had been happy Gaston and Southampton, but not the Bologna, and in these cases, you know, to close a deal needs to be happy in three. "This is no time to controversy - says Betancourt - why Gaston prefers to remain silent. Guaraldi He told that he did not play more in Bologna? I will not comment.'m Just saying Ramirez is very young and one day in During the lively chat with the president, he had the reaction that can have a twenty year old when she realizes that she jumped to an operation that he would be the life of the contract. Gaston Yesterday he called me and told me he is not angry, but disappointed . I do not understand how it could be a lack of surety to blow up a deal so important. (Gaston poorly digest the fact that in the first four months of Bologna, in full storm Porcedda, has not seen any salary and that the club rossoblù, when it came time to pay the installments with Penarol, you have not done scruples to pay the last with a delay of seven months, ed.) I told him I should not worry, there's still a week before the closing market and that something can happen. " The point is that if nothing happens, Nino should yield to the existing contract with Bologna, leaving the mutiny in which he guiltily slipped. "Now is injured and can not play - says Betancourt - I talk to him every day to let him know that if the end were to stay in Bologna, his career would continue anyway." Southampton is out of the game. E 'instead yet fully run in Tottenham, but currently offers 15 million for his card (only 10 of them would end up in the coffers of Bologna) and a $ 1.5 million net per year for the player. Occhio alla Fiorentina: If Waltz of the top players from here to Friday Jovetic is privy to the project for Ramirez Della Valle could headlines again.

Southampton out of the game, leaving spurs eh? Well let's hope we have other irons in the fire that doesn't involve a desperate chairman trying to get us to do things the wrong way then blahs to the media, are we dealing with Dave Whelan over Ramirez?

Loads of similarities. They've scored 8 conceded 0 in 2 games and won 2, we've scored 2 and won 0. They've signed a free scoring, highly rated attacking midfielder from a top european league, we haven't. They look class and capable of Tearing teams in the PL apart. Yep, loads of similarities.

Oh, come on. There is an 'S' and an 'a' in their name, too.

I am pity sure that Spurs are about to drop £20mill on Willians, who would play the same role so I doubt they will go in for him

Difficult to translate, but it sounds like Tottenham's offer is still on the table; it is acceptable to Bologna but the player would prefer a move to us because the money is better and the promise of football. Our offer is not acceptable to Bologna, so we are currently out of the running.

So come the end of the window, it is then down to the player; either he accepts Tottenham's terms, or he buckles down and makes amends with Bologna. Unless the player flatly rejects Spurs' terms, in which case Bologna may be forced to accept our bid if they need the money.

Personally my hunch is that this puts Spurs in pole position. The player will not want to sit tight at Bologna because it will be quite a challenge for a 20 year old to build bridges after what he did. Until now, it has been a case of whether either Saints or Bologna blink first. Now, there is a real possibility that the player will blink first and instruct his agent to complete a move to Spurs.

If we have the capacity to meet Bologna's demands and we really want the player, I think now is the time for Cortese to complete the deal. Otherwise I suspect he will be a Spurs player by Wednesday and we will have a very limited time to complete a deal for one of the alternatives.

It is possible that Ramirez was Spurs' first choice but went for Willans when it became apparent that Ramirez's wage demands were too high. Now, if they can get Ramirez at the price they originally offered, they may prefer that option to spending more on Willans. I'm not saying this is the case, but it is certainly a possible scenario.

Either way, it is a gamble for Nic, unless he knows someone at Spurs from whom he can find out their true position. That said, we have played hard ball so far and I don't see that changing. If he comes to us, it will go right down to the wire.

Ok im not ITK or anything like that but I just wanted to pass this on

I text my mate who is a spurs fan and asked if he knew anything about them signing GR, his response was "unlikely, we have players who can already play in that postion and with us trying to get willian I doubt even more, or though we might come in with a last min bid IF the willian bid goes tits up"

I can tell you that text put my mind to rest for a bit but that is just opinion so dont slate me or my mate over it!

I still think he will sign anyway but I would keep an eye on twitter in the next fews day.

To the Beauty and the Beast tune

"NOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooOOOOOOne (gets the crowd going and gets people involved)

...Plays like Gaston

...No-one scores like Gaston."

and you lot can make up the rest. We'll figure something out.

Or maybe we'll sing "Come on you reds" When we play in white and then complain when our kit gets changed so we don't look like retards

Could it do any harm if this got leaked to his agent?

Missed the last few pages as been otherwise engaged.

I presume we still don't know any more and anything suggesting the deal is off is being treated as nonsense and anything that suggests it's still on is being taken as gospel?

We don't know anything either way.

What we do know is that he wants to join us, he doesn't want to play for Bolonga anymore, he wasn't included in their team tonight and Bolonga promised they would sell him this window.

I would imagine Bolonga's manager will be asked about it post-match today, will be interesting to see if anything filters out.

Game just finished, Chievo won 2-0. Hopefully he says something on the current situation. I imagine we'll see some tweets about it soon if he does.

Gaston Ramirez’s move to Southampton may not be over, as he was dropped from Bologna’s trip to Chievo. “His head isn’t in the game,” said Coach Stefano Pioli.

The Uruguayan caused controversy over the last week by agreeing terms with Southampton without the Rossoblu’s knowledge.

He was warned the transfer would not be agreed for less than €15m, prompting President Albano Guaraldi to reveal “Ramirez threatened us and said he wouldn’t play for Bologna any more.”

“His head isn’t in the game,” explained Coach Pioli. “Ramirez does not have the necessary state of mind to play right now.

You'd think he would be nailed on to leave Bologna now......but then you would have said that about Tevez at Man City last season also.
