Dig Dig Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 ...all quiet on the gaston front today then? Yes....maybe a good thing?
This Charming Man Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Thank you. Just to clear things up now I have spoken to the guy that initially contacted me re Ramirez and have a little more info. I received the call about half 1 from a friend of mine saying he was sure he'd seen Gaston coming through arrivals off of the 12.50 BA flight from Verona. He was supposedly with 3 other men in suits who were on the phone. According to my friend he was picked up by a car at roughly 2.30. That is all he knows and he has no access to any passenger details. As I said before I was passing on some minor info to forum users as I assume anyone else would in the same situation. Not once did I claim to be ITK or say it in a way to make it look like I was and was talking rubbish. I now understand why people that are potentially ITK like to keep their cards close to their chest as you immediatly get hounded accusing you off talking c**p. If you want to be taken seriously; Get your mate to send you a picture of him by the 'Welcome to Gatwick' sign, holding a copy of today's Sun up.
Saint Scott Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 If you want to be taken seriously; Get your mate to send you a picture of him by the 'Welcome to Gatwick' sign, holding a copy of today's Sun up. I asked. He said he has finished his shift but his colleague took this earlier.
Saint Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Well if that isn't proof I don't know what is. There's no way that could be anyone else. Huzzah!
Dig Dig Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 I asked. He said he has finished his shift but his colleague took this earlier. I think we'll have to mark this one as "inconclusive"
Saint Charlie Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Looks remarkably like Javi de Pedro followed by that Spanish guy who used to post on here. Maybe they are 8 years late for a meeting with Lowe?
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 I asked. He said he has finished his shift but his colleague took this earlier. Who's that supposed to be? Looks very much like 2 completely random blokes but what do I know!
MOSaint Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 I think there are 10 possible explanations here An unknown and hitherto unexamined species of animal, closely related to man. Some sort of supernatural being, perceived by only a few people. A known animal, such as a bear, that has been misidentified. A large primate that has escaped from a zoo. A man in a gorilla suit perpetrating a hoax. An extraterrestrial species that occasionally visits earth. A mass media induced hallucination. A drug induced hallucination (what are these guys doing in an airport anyway?!?) A product of a mentally unstable mind. Some other type of unexplainable event.
Saint Garrett Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 hahahaha!!!! Is that supposed to be Ramirez ?
Tokyo-Saint Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Let's admit it we all love this. If he had just signed straight away, it would have been boring. All the hype, speculation, hotel spottings, American birds in bikinis, and fuzzy airport photos just add to the drama.
itchen_dan Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 tancredipalmeri: Bologna president Guaraldi on Ramirez: "Southampton didn't gave us the guarantee we asked. The talks are interrupted".
MOSaint Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 "interrupted?" Just yesterday their president declared that the deal was off.
Avenue Saint Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 I asked. He said he has finished his shift but his colleague took this earlier. Scotty mate, what I want to know is, how did Ramirez fit in to the suitcase??
S-Clarke Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 We can trust itchen_dan to bring the thread back to some sort of normality.
Saint Charlie Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 "interrupted?" Just yesterday their president declared that the deal was off. Exactly...
Avenue Saint Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 "interrupted?" Just yesterday their president declared that the deal was off. These Italian boys have shown themselves to have immense levels if credibility.
This Charming Man Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 I asked. He said he has finished his shift but his colleague took this earlier. You could've at least spent the time and effort when searching through Google images to find someone that even looked remotely like him.
Dig Dig Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Let's admit it we all love this. If he had just signed straight away, it would have been boring. All the hype, speculation, hotel spottings, American birds in bikinis, and fuzzy airport photos just add to the drama. Exactly! We'd be too busy moaning about not having a CB by now
S-Clarke Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Bolonga are starting to look a little silly here. We don't need to give them any guarantee's. If they want an unhappy player, who is on strike, and whose value will now only decrease - then good on them.
MOSaint Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 I assume nowt has changed... Other than Ramirez spitting his dummy out and refusing to play/train, nothing really.
itchen_dan Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 tancredipalmeri: Bologna president Guaraldi on Ramirez to Sky Italy: "He threatened me he won't play anymore here at Bologna. He is very angry" tancredipalmeri: Bologna pres. Guaraldi on Ramirez to Sky Italy: "I hope things will go right but in this way there is no way I will sell him to Southampton"
Saint Charlie Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Yeah - Im sure this is how we expected it would play out...they only really have one option - to sell. They can wait for a little longer and see if there is more interest but it seems unlikely. I'm more confident now that he will join than at any other point this week.
Dig Dig Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Bolonga are starting to look a little silly here. We don't need to give them any guarantee's. If they want an unhappy player, who is on strike, and whose value will now only decrease - then good on them. Pigs ear springs to mind. I think the whole Italian media frenzy they have spun around this is now coming back to bite them in the arse
saint_ed Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 tancredipalmeri: Bologna president Guaraldi on Ramirez to Sky Italy: "He threatened me he won't play anymore here at Bologna. He is very angry" tancredipalmeri: Bologna pres. Guaraldi on Ramirez to Sky Italy: "I hope things will go right but in this way there is no way I will sell him to Southampton" The start of their backtracking to appease their fans? Just paint the picture that Ramirez is the bad guy and they had no choice but to sell......
S-Clarke Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 tancredipalmeri: Bologna president Guaraldi on Ramirez to Sky Italy: "He threatened me he won't play anymore here at Bologna. He is very angry" tancredipalmeri: Bologna pres. Guaraldi on Ramirez to Sky Italy: "I hope things will go right but in this way there is no way I will sell him to Southampton" Whatever. He needs to make his mind up. I'm sure he'll be here by the end of the window.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 By the way, Inter won't be involved, they're signing Afellay from Barca on loan.
Saint Scott Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Scotty mate, what I want to know is, how did Ramirez fit in to the suitcase?? Yes the picture proves nothing and really is of poor quality but as I have said before, i'm just passing on what i'm sent. The fact we have heard nothing since in regards to the media, saints or bologna makes me and I am sure everyone else unlikely to believe it.
Gemmel Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri Bologna pres. Guaraldi on Ramirez to Sky Italy: "I hope things will go right but in this way there is no way I will sell him to Southampton
Gemmel Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 That was from a sky interview so think it is safe to say now that it is off
fish fingers Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri Bologna pres. Guaraldi on Ramirez to Sky Italy: "I hope things will go right but in this way there is no way I will sell him to Southampton Ungrateful ****, we put him up in a nice hotel and he refuses to sell.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Other than Ramirez spitting his dummy out and refusing to play/train, nothing really. Not surprised. He's being offered 3 times his wage and can see the move falling through due to their President being a bit of a d!ck.
Saint Charlie Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 That was from a sky interview so think it is safe to say now that it is off You do? I think it shows the opposite.
Dig Dig Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 That was from a sky interview so think it is safe to say now that it is off why? I'd say these quotes only confound that it is very much still on
doubleonothing Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Any update on this Ramierez chap then? Been out all day and can't be @rsed to read the last 9 pages.
itchen_dan Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 DL_corriere: breaking news: #bolognafc chairman albano guaraldi spoke a couple of mins ago about gaston #ramirez .. stay tuned
S-Clarke Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 That was from a sky interview so think it is safe to say now that it is off Umm, I don't think so. Basically they have no money. They need the money. They have an unhappy player, who is on strike refusing to train or play. They have an offer from us on the table. They can continue to ignore that offer and risk losing millions of mounds, or they can grab what they can get and make Ramirez out to be the bad guy in all of this. It's only going one way.
yorkiesaint Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 That was from a sky interview so think it is safe to say now that it is off he says 'he hopes it will go right'.....
Gemmel Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 You do? I think it shows the opposite. Sounds like it has got personal and him and Cortese have fallen out.....Hope I am wrong
S-Clarke Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Sounds like it has got personal and him and Cortese have fallen out.....Hope I am wrong Discussions are still on-going between both clubs.
Saint Charlie Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 DL_corriere: breaking news: #bolognafc chairman albano guaraldi spoke a couple of mins ago about gaston #ramirez .. stay tuned These guys will be adament he is not going anywhere....watch...
Gemmel Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 he says 'he hopes it will go right'..... But there is no way he will sell to Southampton
Turkish Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Not surprised. He's being offered 3 times his wage and can see the move falling through due to their President being a bit of a d!ck. He's not though is he. He is trying to get the best possible deal for his club. When our chairman wanted the best deal for us and played hardball he was applauded for it and rightly so.
Saint Charlie Posted 24 August, 2012 Posted 24 August, 2012 Discussions are still on-going between both clubs. Yep - and Bologna have a player threatening to strike if he can't move, a good offer on the table which will be hard for them not to take and no other confirmed interest - good position for SFC.
