It is great that our club has the ambition to go for a deal like this and not to go down the lines of those down the road and be bullied to pass over more cash than they want. I get the feeling this is not over yet.

It is really easy - if you think the thread is pointless and you don't believe it will happen, just stay off the thread then! Perhaps it will become less pointless that way. none of us know what is really going on but we do know that we are being ambitious and we know we have money to spend so whatever happens it is likely to be exciting. I am sure we will get a hint as to when it is happening, if it does happen, as Ramirez will need to come over for a medical and I can't imagine he will be able to leave the country without someone noticing so we should have some news about 3 to 4 hours before he actually signs. In the meantime, try to relax and enjoy the ride and don't bother posting on threads you think are pointless - this is not just aimed at you Alpine there are plenty of others doing the same.

Day 2-4 Im really excited and thinking about how great Saints will be with him in the side. By day 5 the novelty is wearing off, day 6 is frustrating and by day 7 I want to stab the player and both chairmen. Is this normal?

As a minimum, on top of a holiday we need to name a stand after him (mods can we have a poll to establish which stand should be renamed?) and also a statue needs to be erected ASAP, certainly before he arrives.

I've had the same opinion the whole time. Call it wishful thinking or delusions, but I'll be right or wrong by the end of the window. It has been a fascinating one to observe - everyone using the press and social media to influence opinion. The only thing that kills this deal is another bid, and with the way Bologna have acted during this transfer, can't see many clubs lining up to do business with them.
