Every time the deal appears to be going one way, something new appears that changes things.

This saga will drag on until next Friday IMO. Agent appears to be going public to try and make Bologna realise we're the only game in town if they need to sell.

It's been the case all along. Sit back and watch it unfold. 6 days to go.

Sorry 6 days till what? 9 days till end of transfer window, is that what you meant? Don't mean to be fussy.

Interesting that sky have now changed their story. On the Sky sports app, it has gone from 'Saints fail with Ramirez bid' to 'Saints wait on Ramirez'. Another U-turn.

Considering the reports of Cortese setting a 24 hour deadline I would say that's unlikely.

But then these reports have been rather erratic.

Has skacel signed yet/Henry signs for Chelsea etc.

It would appear that the transfer is dragging on but in the world away from this forum and twitter I don't think it is. Pretty sure transfers didn't used to be analysed this much, so how's about we all just calm down and let the work happen behind the scenes.

Now can everyone go back to making the PTS thread the most posted on thread on this forum! I can't cope with having to read this many pages to catch up on the latest!

6 working days.

Why are there only 6 working days? Is Monday a public holiday in Italy or Uruguay? Saturdays are working days in football aren't they? Even Sunday, maybe you can't still finalise a contract legally, but doesn't stop negotiations continuing, it would only be an issue if Sunday was last day of the window, which it isn't. There are still 9 and a bit days to go until the window slams shut.

On the question of the passage of Gaston Ramirez to Southampton which aroused great controversy, Zanzi clarifies: "The Bologna is represented by its managers and simply, there was contact between the two companies but we sent the deal to issues regarding the guarantees, they do not give and we can not take the risk of this practice. There are the numbers for this, of the 20 million offered by Southampton was too high a percentage to agents and 4,992,000 to Penarol. "This is because, says DG:" The Bologna has 100% of the rights of Ramirez but Penarol is a premium of 30% on the second sale of the player. Gaston is important for Bologna and know. "Release output:" Some clubs lower category has probed the ground of Coda, and Paponi Casarini. "

I have absolutely no idea what any of that means.

More games? We've got other targets, they've got other buyers.....

Ramirez: Now De Laurentiis really believe

He never lost sight of the evolution of the relationship between Gastòn Ramirez and Bologna, Aurelio De Laurentiis, and now the president of the Naples seems ready to launch an assault defintivo. After yet another failure of negotiations between Bologna and Southampton, who seemed on the verge of purchase of the player, and the subsequent controversy, the relationship between Ramirez and the company Bolognese appear now come to the end credits. And now, with the market close upon us and with a tricky "case Ramirez" to manage, you may check with a convincing Napoli in Naples to bring the Uruguayan playmaker. The player is valued at about 20 million euros from Bologna, which has not ever seemed willing to negotiate on price. Napoli have a great treasure from the sale made in this session of transfers, and maybe I can put some compensation technique liking to Bologna, to lower the cash amount to be paid into the coffers rossoblu.

Napoli cannot buy until they sell. They will need Cavani to leave before they have the cash to better, or equal, what we've offered.

It's all games, it's getting quite tedious if I'm honest.

Bolonga seem very amateur

Basically that Bologna would get a too little slice of the pie once the agents fees & 30% were stripped out.

So we're where we were 4 days ago, because that was the issue then as well. I will continue to stand by my belief that they'll realise it's the best they'll get, and sell.

Oh God, I'm in the air from 5am your time tomorrow for 8 hours and on landing will only have a smartfone to catch up on all of this.

So I guess by the time I tune back in the Smartfone will need to refresh through around 30 pages at non-EU based International Roaming Rates

Perhaps it will be cheaper if I just paypal Bologna the 10 grand they need now

Surprised Cortese has lasted this long with them to be honest.

He's got time on his side. They'll get more nervous the longer it goes without a second bid coming in from elsewhere, which I don't think will happen given how complicated a deal it is, and is well documented to be.

We'll sign him IMO, just not as quickly as everyone would like.

Does anyone know where Ramirez is now? Is he back in Italy? Just think that could be a fairly good indicator of how he, at least, feels the deal is going. If he's back and training with Bologna then not good news for us.... if he's not though then great. Anyway, even if he signed right now the chances are slim that he'd even make a sub appearance against Wigan and if the deal is still do-able then stretching into next week isn't the end of the world. If it's anything less than likely to happen though I'd rather we moved on - sure there are other 12-15M players we've never heard of we can buy....

Almost enough to put you off the idea of buying from Italian clubs again.

Back in Italy, training separately.

Wednesday August 22

Remember that bad man Alessandro Diamanti who helped knock England out of Euro 2012. He has committed his future to Bologna by agreeing a new long-term contract. If you're booing at your screen, you have every right to.

Gaston signs!

Gaston.Sign.0845a.jpg

You have no idea how proud I am to be able to offer a correction to one of your posts Matthew Le God.

But I think you'll find that that is one Gaston sign. If there were two or more, then you could have written Gaston signs.

Your post was inaccurate and misleading.

My work here is complete.

EDIT: Well, there's a strange thing. In another life I thought I'd made a typo in the above arrogant correction of Mr Accuracy himself. This was embarrassing and was mercilessly seized upon by others pointing out that I'd made an error. People were laughing at my expense. But due to my influence and respect on this forum, the mods saw fit to remove all of their arrogant corrections of my arrogant correction and instead leave me free to edit the offending typo so nobody is any the wiser.

There had been a tear in the fabric of space-time and I needed to fix it.
