Of course, but there is definitely a game plan and motive from Bologna to play it out in this way. I think we just need to put our offer down, leave them to do their thing and then wait a see If we're still on towards 31st.

This - and then we can focus on other more realistic targets in the meantime so we don't miss out on them. What's Brian Howard up to? CHDAJFS? Was labelled the saviour of our midfield a short time ago?

I think we should reduce our offer by a fixed amount every day they dont accept it! that would give them a real dilemma of "Bird in the hand? worth two in the bush!" Stop them ffing about and we would flush out their true intentions too and move the main focus on to others if need be!

Prefer Stock myself. Him and Chaplow pulling the strings through the middle. My mouth is watering.

He won't sign, we don't have the upfront cash.

We have 60mil coming in this year but turning a future payment from TV rights into a Bank Guarantee is not going to happen, and NC will not take out a bank loan because as anyone in a small business will know Banks don't lend money anymore.

NC had a deal done on Friday, they tried to change it. Game over, big gamble by their President.NC doesn't play those games.

Bologna need the cash AS will Penarol. Italian football is screwed and fines & points penalties will be splashing all over the shop with the whole dodgy match fixing part 2 nonsense.

Sounds like a man who has a small penis thought he could pretend he had a big one and is going to be sitting there calling his bank manager next week. His ONLY hope is that Liverpool still don't have a brain in the club, but with Connolli (sp) gone he may be in for a bad week.

Back to Tello on loan for a season then and a world class right footed CB out of left field then

Just had a quick browse through the Jay Rod thread from June.

It's basically this thread, just replace Jay Rodriguez with Gaston Ramirez and it's the same thread.

Same content, same twits...and hopefully the same outcome!

Blimey - surely you have better things to do?

I think we should look closer to home. Who/what's the only constant in these deals?

If you think so... depends on what spin you put on it - NC sets out a stall and that it - change tehd eal mid way, try and negotiate an increase, reveal a 3rd party from teh woodworka nd some clubs would still just up the amount or bend over, where getting the player is more important than sticking to your budget, in which case we are at fault for being inflexible. OR it suggest we are trying to ensure we stick within out budget and ensure we are financially stable so if the fees go up or payment demands are not within what is possible we walk away...

...add to the fact we seem to be after players now that atract more attention and bigger fees, we will never be the only option and teh auction route seems popular - and we wonder why we want these negotiations done in private....

And also, it was Bolonga's side that blabbed in the first place. Don't think we've done anything wrong here.

Won't stop Turkish and DPS banging on the same drum. The number of deals which have fallen through compared to those we complete is probably quite normal.

Holloway has said on 5Live that we can't provide a bankers' draft to prove we have the money. Maybe this is the problem with Ramirez?

I also heard tonight that the giant cheque we used to buy J-Rod has bounced #wheresallthemoneygonenicola

FFS you sad phuckers, the internet is piled high with people who claim to know stuff, its also awash with people who just like winding people up, not so long ago a story emerged online saying Phil Collins was dead?? He isn't. Just gets grip of yourselves, some of you are grown men with responsibilities and yet you act like children on xmas eve. Twitter is generally a load of old bollix. I wonder how many skates are posing as Italian journalists on there at the moment.

Embarrassing.

You bang the same happy clappy Cortese Cuddling drum. Ramirez won't happen, we had a chance and cocked it up. We can't provide a bankers draft because there is no money, I've heard we might have to return Jay Rod to Burnley because the money just isn't there. Falque set to return as a cheap option and we will probably target Bignall next...FFS. Was so optimistic after the City game but this Ramirez fiasco has damaged my morale.

We have spent more time monging about with electronic advertising boards than signing players.

It's hard to be sure if that's what happens as we don't sit in the board room, but I think it's clear that NC tries to drive a hard fee - in terms of outgoing and incoming transfers.

I know that we priced Puncheon out of a move, as we wouldn't budge from £1m. No one would meet it, but we wouldn't budge - and we'll never ever, ever, ever get £1m for him now, maybe not even 500k. So what you say may be right in some areas, but I think he's prudent. He doesn't want to put the club into financial trouble so he won't ever spend what we don't have.

I don't believe we are massively loaded, I think we operate a policy of spend what we generate - and we may generate just about enough to tie up Gaston, but possibly not all the fee up front. That's my opinion anyway, may be wrong - but I think in some areas he's entitled to drive a hard bargain as he's looking after this club, but other times he needs to just loosen it slightly.

I hear what you are saying but puncheon has premier league experience and is winger that caused MC problems on Sunday, maybe not all game but certainly made them think about him. His price tag has just gone up not down. But that is for another thread. With regards to Gaston hope this gets sorted one way or another as this is seriously dragging now and we are nearly 60 pages in with no real end in sight.

Well if they are then

1) they are sad

2) they know a hell of a lot about Italian football as these journalists aren't just tweeting about Ramirez, there are other things going on

3) they speak pretty fluent Italian by the look of it

4) i repeat, they are sad.

It seems when dealing with clubs that won't be bullied our conversion rate is spectacularly bad.

Please do your homework before making ridiculous statements

Please do your homework regarding when people are purposely making ridiculous statements, intending to get reactions such as yours.

I thought someone with almost 1000 posts and 3 years under their belt here would be able to recognise trolling when they see it.

Unbelievable.
