I wonder if any potential Spurs deal would rely on Modric moving to Madrid? As there doesn't appear to be much movement in that deal at the moment, I hope we're not waiting around for a few days just to be told that they are/aren't interested in Ramirez...

I haven't actually said anything unreasonable here! All I did was ask a very reasonable question and considered it odd that someone was travelling all the way to South America for something that could easily be done remotely.

it may be odd to you....when you have nothing to do with the profession of football agenting and have no idea of the travelling habits of said person

On FIFA, I simply bid a couple of million over the recommended asking price. A couple of days later I get an email from the players club either accepting or rejecting the deal. If they ask for more money, I simply give it to them if I have it.

A couple of days later I get another email saying I can offer the player a contract. I offer the player the chairmans suggestion and and a 10% bonus.

2 days later, player accepts deals and is immediately available for selection, even if signed on a match day.

It's so ****ing easy, I don't know why NC makes himself look so amateur. FFS.

AVB said last week that Spurs weren't in for Ramirez anymore I think.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/aug/17/andre-villas-boas-luka-modric-spurs?newsfeed=true

"M'Vila is an interesting player but I don't think he will join Tottenham. The player is a player of defensive characteristics. On the possible replacements for Luka, we are looking for a more creative player. I can't lie to you. We had initial interest in the player but we have moved on from that one and are now looking for a more creative player because we think that we have certain players already that offer us those defensive characteristics. With Ramírez, he is in a more advanced role and we are covered in that position."

Bolonga are basically trying to mess us about, simple as that. If we have the patience to hold out who knows.

They've changed the goal posts, when everything was pretty much agreed before he blabbed. There is still nothing decided from what I've been told. They're now trying to create an auction as they aren't getting what they want out of us.

It may be that they realise this is thee best they'll get and finish it up there and then, but this will drag now IMO. I thought it would be decided tonight..!

Doesn't sound too promising...

In my gut, I don't think this one is happening.

We can't quite close the deal (understandably so) and both Bologna and Ramirez know they have very attractive options elsewhere.

It's not like Saints are their one shot call in the Last Chance Saloon.

Not attaching any blame here, btw. And also so hope I'm wrong.

Yeah it is ridiculous to suggest someone is flying all the way over there. That would be pointless.

It isn't hard to imagine that the agent could have an extremely good relationship with the people at Penarol. The sums of money that can be made as an agent would make it a bad idea to risk burning bridges, that and as it's a 'people' business a courtesy trip to Penarol would be a very good idea at this time, particularly if you are facilitating a deal that will give them 3 million pounds and line your pockets to the tune of many many thousands of pounds.
