mynameisthehulk Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Tonight is the night. Could be going on late due to the time difference with Uruguay?
VectisSaint Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 When the seagulls follow the trawler.... It smells of fish...

hypochondriac Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 I get the impression you really believe the world is that simple. No wonder people end up whining so much and blaming x y and z when they think it's that easy. It'd all work so much more smoothly with someone like you at the helm. Cortese received an offer from Arsenal for Chamberlain and threw it straight into the bi until he got what he wanted. Clearly he believes it is that simple. I know you like to pretend you are on a different intelectual level to others on here but you really aren't.
VectisSaint Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 I hope this gets sorted soon, just beginning to get a little nervous that other deals that we need to complete may be impacted by this saga over-running the expected time scale. Hopefully we will still be able to wrap up Phillips as well, replacement for Buttner (looks like we were being strung along there once he knew Manure were sniffing), a CB and maybe even another keeper (an experienced one). Still 10 days to go, I know but it seems that a lot of work is still required, Nicola is going to be a busy Don.
Jack Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Feeling or ITK? Guessing IMO. "Mate's dad's ex missus' hairdresser's bit on the side heard...."
Stepgar Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 If your right I'll come in my own mouth! So will half the the people on this forum.
Avenue Saint Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 I do believe it`s DONE 'Want for others what you want for yourself' Now spill....
CalneSaint Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 What time is it over in South America then? Could this be why the meeting is 'taking place' late tonight to get Penarol to agree? 6 hrs behind i believe.......as i just got back from a holiday in Mexico...so its around 3 in the afternoon in S America
dubai_phil Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Oops sorry It said Oh awesome header Marwan 1-0 Everton. What Sir Alex reaction now!??
Ken Tone Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 On the basis of that garbelled translation, we just need to get Penarol's agreement, then it's done. So how big a deal is that? This shared ownership thing is so alien to us in the UK.
Saint Charlie Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 @SimonPeach Hi Simon, today much talks between clubs but no deal done, at the moment. And tomorrow Bologna's gm is at Calcioscommesse trial

SaintNeil90 Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Bored of this now. Spending too much time waiting around for news
hypochondriac Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Apologies in advance will be accepted. Agent of to Penarol to sign a e3mill compo package enough said. If so then you are a hero and I apologise unreservedly. We shall see...
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 @SimonPeach Hi Simon, today much talks between clubs but no deal done, at the moment. And tomorrow Bologna's gm is at Calcioscommesse trial Who said this to him?
Saint-Armstrong Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Who said this to him? Reporter from local Bologna paper.
Jack Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Apologies in advance will be accepted. Agent of to Penarol to sign a e3mill compo package enough said. Give it a rest. Earlier your 'source' was someone loitering at a hotel, now you've got an agent's flight details?
MOSaint Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 https://twitter.com/Mousse81 Reporter for local paper.
Saint Scott Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Reporter from local Bologna paper. The equivilant to the echo then. I wouldn't worry.
Saint Charlie Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 The equivilant to the echo then. I wouldn't worry. He seems pretty sure, more talks tomorrow.
Bearsy Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Apologies in advance will be accepted. Agent off to Penarol to sign a e3mill compo package enough said. I totally believe this dude! Get behind sfc1971 FFS! If he's wrong we can always hunt him down Block 34 Row W and hurt him bad!
InvictaSaint Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Followed up with this: @SimonPeach Ok, perfect. See you tomorrow (in fact, also without GM, Bologna's chairman Guaraldi can hold talks, but we'll see) 9:30pm - 20 Aug 12
dan17 Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 If your right I'll come in my own mouth! I laughed!
CLOTH EARS Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 This could be either the most exciting transfer news since keegan signed OR it will be a let down on the scale of pulling a beatiful Thai bird and finding she had meat and two veg!.....................and no i havent experienced this myself btw!!!
sambosa75 Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Apologies in advance will be accepted. Agent off to Penarol to sign a e3mill compo package enough said. Has he not heard of a fax machine then? Instead he is flying to Uruguay to get a signature... great.
hypochondriac Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Yeah it is ridiculous to suggest someone is flying all the way over there. That would be pointless.
Saint Charlie Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Yeah it is ridiculous to suggest someone is flying all the way over there. That would be pointless. Strangely I believe a journalist attached to the selling club more than someone here. He hasn't signed......yet.
itchen_dan Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 As someone said earlier, maybe that is why the meeting is being held at this time of night? Due to time difference, someone from Penarol (chairman, secretary etc) will be available back in Uruguay to sign any documentation that could be faxed / emailed over?
Wade Garrett Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Chill out everyone. Get on with your lives and let the good news roll.
Turkish Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 As someone said earlier, maybe that is why the meeting is being held at this time of night? Due to time difference, someone from Penarol (chairman, secretary etc) will be available back in Uruguay to sign any documentation that could be faxed / emailed over? Would make sense, have them on conference call/video during the discussions. Must have been painful the translating of everything between English, Spanish and Italian.
Saint Charlie Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Who knows? Lots of talks though, they seem resigned to losing him and we are working out the best deal for us.
hypochondriac Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Would make sense, have them on conference call/video during the discussions. Must have been painful the translating of everything between English, Spanish and Italian. Well Cortese knows two of them so they may be alright...
Spudders Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Has he not heard of a fax machine then? Instead he is flying to Uruguay to get a signature... great. Other than time travellers going back to the 90's, the FA & Harry Redknapp, do people still use fax machines these days?
Thedelldays Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Would make sense, have them on conference call/video during the discussions. Must have been painful the translating of everything between English, Spanish and Italian. especially if we are getting a good deal on poor internet connection ffs
