Frank's cousin Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Latest update/summary: Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri Ramirez: deal was basically done, but his interview drove mad Bologna mgmt.Today Southampton and Bologna on meeting in England 1/2 2/2 Ramirez: what still missing? 3 more millions for Bologna and payment of 50% of the total within 2012. Percentage of success: 90% A trifle...surely 'missing' millions is something they complain about down the road ;-) wonder it the 10mil Euro wages over 4 years is accurate - as thats about 2mil a year so about £40,000 a week - which is not excessive for a top player?
Saint Charlie Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Reckon it will all be done and dusted before the end of day. Depends where Ramirez himself is. Would still have to do medical etc...even if a deal is agreed.
SaintNeil90 Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Gazzumped by Man U ... (Buttner), and it now looks likely, Gazzumped by Liverpool .... (Ramirez) Just goes to show that, outside of Southampton, just how low down the pecking order BIG signings are for PL Newcomers Buttner deal was dead ages ago due to a third party. SAINTS decided not to pursue it further. All the reports regarding Ramirez are about the deal for him to come to us, theres been nothing about Liverpool. We haven't been 'gazzumped' at all. Get a grip!

Lambert/Lallana can't be on much less than that
SaintRichmond Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 We weren't gazzumped for Buttner. We ****canned the deal because his dad was being a greedy git. No idea where yo are getting the idea we've been gazzumped by liverpool for Ramirez. Well, perhaps when he DOESN'T sign for us, you'll get the general drift I still reckon that, behind the scenes, Man U made it clear to him and his agent, that THEy wanted him
Frank's cousin Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 We weren't gazzumped for Buttner. We ****canned the deal because his dad was being a greedy git. No idea where yo are getting the idea we've been gazzumped by liverpool for Ramirez. In deed - and no one was complaining until they heard he was going to Man U - we should not forget its also about how these players fit in with our philosophy - Think Ramierez just ley his enthusiasm get teh better of him believeing teh fees had been agreed, whereas the Buttner deal started going wrong with agents, dads etc with both clubs having agreed fees etc... different scenarios, different attitudes. Actually think its wa srefeshingly honest of Ramirez to say he wa scoming because of how much we were paying!
SaintRichmond Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Buttner deal was dead ages ago due to a third party. SAINTS decided not to pursue it further. All the reports are off Ramirez are about the deal for him to come to us, theres been nothing about Liverpool. We haven't been 'gazzumped' at all. Get a grip! And I bet you believe that Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK, don't you ?? ( The REAL stories are normally BETWEEN the lines )

SaintRichmond Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 You're a very odd person. No more than you for believing everything, and not for considering alternative scenarios
View From The Top Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 No more than you for believing everything, and not for considering alternative scenarios Oh dear.
Raging Bull Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Will be over the moon if we sign Harvey-Oswald, he's deadly infront of the target!
Saint Charlie Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 No more than you for believing everything, and not for considering alternative scenarios We are close to securing our most high profile signing for years (probably my whole lifetime apart from when we signed Stig Johansen). Might as well enjoy it, what will be will be.
simondo Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 [video=youtube_share;F9Wolwx1ES4] this is EXACTLY how i have been discussing the deal all wknd - good work fella!!!!!!!
stmusicdude Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 And I bet you believe that Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK, don't you ?? ( The REAL stories are normally BETWEEN the lines ) Yes, coz then they can be whatever you want them to be!
SaintRichmond Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 You must live a very depressing life being negative all the time. Far from it, ..... but I certainly don't accept all the media hype touted around like some, including yourself, obviously do Football is a Business, and if other Clubs can "outdo" other Clubs, that is exactly what they will do Come back again after we end up missing out on all of our targets, and we can discuss Even Nigel has had to move the "signings" Goalposts back, nearly every time he has a P.C
Frank's cousin Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 No more than you for believing everything, and not for considering alternative scenarios You are aware this a football we are talking about? Not some international geopolitical event in which scenarios are war-gamed? Transfers are complex... yet pardoxically simple - players want to come, agree terms with player, agree fees with parent club and assign registrations If they fail, its because one of these simple things does not work out - eg Player/agent playing silly buggers and holding out for better offer or using club A to bring out offer from club B - simple.... but hardly a big drama or damning of our approach.... .... its is football! Full of self important people thinking ist far more important than a game (of two halves)
The9 Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 A trifle...surely 'missing' millions is something they complain about down the road ;-) wonder it the 10mil Euro wages over 4 years is accurate - as thats about 2mil a year so about £40,000 a week - which is not excessive for a top player? Well as it's right from Ramirez' mouth I'd think it was pretty accurate.
Frank's cousin Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Will be over the moon if we sign Harvey-Oswald, he's deadly infront of the target! Nah - its the secret strikers on teh mound we should be looking at. Oswald really should just have got the assist
Frank's cousin Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Well as it's right from Ramirez' mouth I'd think it was pretty accurate. Was thers something about a hefty sign on 3mil or something?
SaintRichmond Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 We are close to securing our most high profile signing for years (probably my whole lifetime apart from when we signed Stig Johansen). Might as well enjoy it, what will be will be. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and mine is that he WON'T be signing for us. I'd like him too, but IMHO he won't So, that makes me the most depressing negative person on here does it Let's wait and see eh ???
The9 Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Was thers something about a hefty sign on 3mil or something? 1 million Euros.
stu0x Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Will be over the moon if we sign Harvey-Oswald, he's deadly infront of the target! Agreed, would make sense to play him in the 'hole' as his stats show a very impressive 1/3 of long range shots on target

I believe this figure is the net salary and not gross. Someone worked it out to be the equivalent to around £70k p/w gross..?
Mr_Red Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Will be over the moon if we sign Harvey-Oswald, he's deadly infront of the target! ... Or was he?! (reading between the lines) Anyway, hope we can get Ramirez. Don't want it to go the way of the Buttner deal. I guess we will see just where we are come the end of the window - not going to expect anyone to have any patience, I know I don't! Just hoping for one of those 'Saints have signed x, y and z' type stories like when we were first taken over.
Dig Dig Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Far from it, ..... but I certainly don't accept all the media hype touted around like some, including yourself, obviously do Football is a Business, and if other Clubs can "outdo" other Clubs, that is exactly what they will do Come back again after we end up missing out on all of our targets, and we can discuss Even Nigel has had to move the "signings" Goalposts back, nearly every time he has a P.C That's the point. Your speculation that we will miss out on all our targets is based on nothing but a few brain farts clouding your judgement and assessment of the situation. All we can do is follow the latest snippets of info which largely all suggest we are close to signing the player. Not one reputable source has said that Liverpool are now in for him, you've just imagined that. If they did come in now, it may mean that we don't get him but that's no ones fault. And you've completely made up the point about being gazzumped by Utd for the Buttner deal. That deal died a long time ago, Utd and anyone else have been welcome to him for weeks now.
sfc1971 Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Ramirez is and has been staying at the Lime Wood hotel nr Lyndhurst since Friday. (from a unamed member of Staff) this is a Fact watch this space.

sfc1971 Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 (edited) Which is why he was at Bologna over the weekend then? (He could have flown there and back...) This comes from a source who has told me a guy who is booked in as Sergio Ramierez has been in and around the Hotel casually dressed with a number of Suits coming and going, and his bill is on A N other account. They could be wrong but ???? Okay he has been to Europe say a 2 and a half hour flight and why would i make it up just like i never made up the Billy Sharp rumour who incidently stayed at the very same Hotel. The Cat Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Looks like a thrilling match that. He's also wearing a t-shirt (homemade) that says "I OFF". HE's just using his right arm to obscure the writing underneath that says "to Southampton"

15saints Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Just because you are negative does not mean you a wrong, after all if you say someone is going to die you will be right eventually and will be able to say 'I told you so'. That appears the only way for you achieve any joy at all, but if you are negative all the time it is not clever nor smart because sod's law says you will be right sometimes, but you are unable to see the benefit od any doubt. Sad really.
pap Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 You're a very odd person. On JFK, he's about as odd as the last official US investigation, which concluded that Kennedy was very likely assassinated as part of a conspiracy involving elements of the US Government. Let's have a bit less of knocking the poster, eh? Been through it myself, and it's reductive on both sides of the exchange*. * although I do reserve the right to use bullets (magic or otherwise) in a gun fight.
ladysaint Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Unarmed? Sounds like a rough place if it is normal practice for staff to be armed Quite an exclusive place that is didn't one of the Gallagher brothers get married there last year, let's hope he signs soon then.

Tokyo-Saint Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 Looks like a thrilling match that. That's what I look like when I watch Italian football. Perhaps even more disinterested.

Stattmeister Posted 20 August, 2012 Posted 20 August, 2012 I did a "drive by" there yesterday (excuse the shooting pun) and didn't see a sausage. I should wait on the grassy knoll that is Bolton's Bench in case it's true... Joking aside - The Limewood is set far back so no chance of seeing anything from the road - but his agent is here accordingy to the Italian Press so maybe there is a room booked for Ramirez and he arrived after the Varese match.
