I wonder if we pulled the plug a while ago and were all being led down the garden path by these italian journo tweets. Could be the milkman tweeting this crap for all i know. No transfer could be this protracted IMO

We didn't pull the plug a while ago. HTH

Nerve wracking sruff. Why oh why leave it so late in the day !

Lol, you are right. Let's have the announcement first thing tomorrow morning. Or better still if the Italian sods want to drag it out to the last day in the hope of wrenching out the last Southampton fc penny, we should just send the A team over and hijack him!

Cos that's how big money transfers go don't they darlick...?

Totally calm. What will be will be. This kind of transfer scenario really reveals how many cry babies we have on this board.

You can say that again.

Apparently bologna are going for Gilardino, all points to Soton cash being handed over.

My Spanish is not that hot - but isn't it pronounced Ramireth with the "Z" being pronounced"TH"? Just thought a debate on this could fill another 3 or 4 pages until the news is confirmed!!!

It is all done and dusted, but the recent thunderstorms and lightning have disrupted the official site's server and therefore the internet at the club is down, it will appear on the Official site once the IT guys have sorted out the flux capacitor and sent the site back on line at 1.21 gigawatts.

Nah, lispy Spanish is largely confined to Spain itself, and mostly around the Castille area.

Going to kickstart the server with a DeLorean.

They most definitely speak 'lispy' Spanish in Fray Bentos, where Ramirez is from, and around Rio de Plata in Argentina and Uruguay.

No they don't! And no lisps in Spanish anywhere in South America, as far as know.

Well now Carroll is on loan to West Ham so Liverpool might afford this deal now? Hence the delay....

With Nicky Maynard off to Cardiff already.

Who remembers the good old days when he was the superstar player we simply must sign?

'Lisp' isn't entirely accurate , which is why I put it in quotes, but there certainly is Castillian influence on the language: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rioplatense_Spanish

I've been to BsAs three times and once to Carmelo in Uruguay, a few minutes drive from Fray Bento. Rioplatense is definitely distinct from more common dialects of Spanish and might be picked up as a bit of a lisp.
