Saw that aswell. Very interesting considering some people think it's a little bit of running, bit of a blood pressure check and done in an hour. They can take time. Especially when you are shelling out such a big fee, you want the player to be in perfect condition.

 

See that Joey Barton underwent the first part of his medical yesterday at Marseille (scans, tests etc) and began his second part today by doing some running, fitness work etc. It all depends on the buying club and their standard practices when it comes to buying players.

I imagine with NA at the helm and our medical staff, we are very very stringent in our medicals. At the end of the day as you said, this will be worth taking time over as it is a significant long-term investment and the last thing you want is to shell out 12m squid on a player who has a degenerative knee condition for e.g

I completely agree. Let's just sign him already and see what he can do on the pitch. In fact, even if the deal falls through I'll feel disappointed that it's not worked out, but relieved that we can forget about it at last.

Sorry picked up a reply not the original post. this thread has affected me so much I predicted Saints to lose 3 zip to Stevenage instead of winning 3 zip as I intended - consequently nil points and a hefty slide down the table!!! I hope he signes quickly
