Sometimes they come back. Elkeson Botafogo is a name underlined in red for some time on the list of Bologna. Treaty in early summer, then the deal is complicated. If the Southampton able to define everything in a hurry for the latest details of the transaction Ramirez, there may be a flashback on Brazil. Would offer important, there is the out clause 6 million. The Bologna has second thoughts ...

bit much if you ask me

Indeed. As is asking not to go mental over YouTube clips.

It's just the last time it was that quiet on Twitter from the media team, we ended up signing Jay Rodriguez. Most probably just be a coincidence but with the various rumours / reports coming from news outlets and journos yesterday, wouldnt surprise me if they had been very busy and didnt have time or werent allowed to tweet.

Interesting theory, they're quiet, they must be up to something.

I take your point, Twitter is a very good source of news as it happens - it's mainly why I'm on there.

Exclusive CM: Ramirez to Liverpool

August 30 at 11:00

Given the difficulties of arriving at Southampton Ramirez, Liverpool came back to the assault against Bologna. The willingness of the Reds to snatch the player to Bologna, but subject to the conditions imposed by the Bolognese. Has learned exclusively by Calcimercato.com the request of Bologna is twenty million immediately. Liverpool has reached the maximum 14 but is ready to offer them a new proposal for the red and blue.

The new offensive Liverpool has 5 million for the loan sale and a figure between 10 and 15 million for the redemption obligations in 2013. The Bologna try to resist, but given the player will have to start at the end could accept the new formula to make money in a year.

Arse. Gazumped then due to an inability to complete the deal, if true?

I really dont think he will sign. Its gone on for too long with people saying its on or off and then close. Nothing has happened for a few days now which suggests one of two things. He has either signed and we are awaiting work permit to be issues before announcing it (ala Mayuka) OR someone else has come in and is about to pip us.

Why would Liverpool offer more than an offer that has already been accepted? Sorry, not buying that.

this is the club who signed Downing, Henderson and Carroll for more than 70m....

although I did read that they were selling Adam to get the funds for that Yank from Fulham, so have they even the cash?

This is getting tedious now on-off-on-off. It's hard to even tell which Italian reporters are credible or not. calciomecato could be the most ITK source or they could be the italian equivalent of tribalfootball and we'd none the wiser.

Yeah but why would you outbid an offer that is deemed acceptable?!

We have agreed circa €15m, why would Liverpool go in and bid €20m knowing that we had a bid accepted for €5m less?! Would be utter madness.

True but you are talking about a club that pent 35 mil on Carroll... Utter madness does seem common in scouserland

Maybe that would satisfy both Bologna and Penarol? Total bid of 20m, 15m to Bologna, rest to Penarol to pay off that 30% clause? Just a thought.

If i read that story correctly, Bologna want 20m up front, Liverpool will pay 14m up front max. However Liverpool have now offered 5m up front for a years loan, then 15m next year to make it complete.

Bologna have always seemed to want the most the can get up front, so why would they even consider pools offer?

If it looks like bulls**t, and smells like bulls**t ...

The liverpool story is quoted at €5m for an initial loan, and then 15m nezt season. Given that Bolonga insisted on 8 or 10 Mill up front from Saits, it seems unklikely that the Liverpool deal would allow Bolonga to pay their debts and sign the players they are linked with with just €5m.

Would be strange if Bolonga accepted Liverpool's Jam Tomorrow deal.

who is to say that this story is just bollix....I mean, just look back at some of our targets that have been reported...likes of Kenwyn Jones ffs

Yep, agreed, posters have quoted a hundred or more Italian tweets or journo remarks on here and how many of them have been correct? so why on earth believe this one? Calm down

Even though some are getting ****ed off with my updates, heres another one :)

Minarzouki: Apparently for Ramirez to Southampton deal, there are issues with the 30% to be paid to Penarol (the remainder of rights). Bologna own 70%

This is getting incredibly tiresome and boring just pay ffs.

I've said several times that our gamble is not really the deal on the table but other clubs coming in for him. Not saying I'm right because nothing has happened yet but I am starting to get that sinking feeling that this isn't going to happen. It has simply gone on too long. I do not buy this idea that other clubs can't take him because there is not a lot of time and the deal is too complex, if you throw enough money at it and agree to this, agree to that - whats the hold up?

Liverpool are the sort of club that know the prices of everything but the value of nothing and will just **** money up the wall to get who they want.

I really hope I'm wrong but don't think it's going to happen.

I'm amazed to see people saying ''that's it then'', when if you've been following this for the last 2 weeks you'll know it's part of the course. This is how it's been going. For some reason Bologna continue to try and plant things in the media, to hurry us up I'd imagine.

The talk of Liverpool is just that, talk. In 48 hours they will not be able to do a deal, it's way too short a time scale considering how long it took spurs earlier and how long it's taken us so far...!

Remember a few days back? ''Ramirez to Southampton is dead, we have other clubs we are negotiating with in Europe'' - that didn't come to anything did it?

Do we ever learn? The club are fantastic at creating smoke screens to deflect attention away from realistic targets like Phillips. They do this every time without confirming anything throughout the entire process and leaving us to speculate out of all proportion. Get used to it as it won't be the last time they do it.
