If the Southampton able to define everything in a hurry for the latest details of the transaction Ramirez, there may be a flashback on Brazil. Crazy Diamond Posted 30 August, 2012 Share Posted 30 August, 2012 bit much if you ask me Indeed. As is asking not to go mental over YouTube clips. It's just the last time it was that quiet on Twitter from the media team, we ended up signing Jay Rodriguez. Most probably just be a coincidence but with the various rumours / reports coming from news outlets and journos yesterday, wouldnt surprise me if they had been very busy and didnt have time or werent allowed to tweet. Interesting theory, they're quiet, they must be up to something. I take your point, Twitter is a very good source of news as it happens - it's mainly why I'm on there. Under Weststand Posted 30 August, 2012 Share Posted 30 August, 2012 I really don't see Liverpool coming in for Ramirez unless they can offload the likes of Downing & Carrol. itchen_dan Posted 30 August, 2012 Share Posted 30 August, 2012 I think it's called out-bidding Yeah but why would you outbid an offer that is deemed acceptable?! merrimd Posted 30 August, 2012 Share Posted 30 August, 2012 If i read that story correctly, Bologna want 20m up front, Liverpool will pay 14m up front max. However Liverpool have now offered 5m up front for a years loan, then 15m next year to make it complete. Bologna have always seemed to want the most the can get up front, so why would they even consider pools offer? If it looks like bulls**t, and smells like bulls**t ... redkeith Posted 30 August, 2012 Share Posted 30 August, 2012 The liverpool story is quoted at €5m for an initial loan, and then 15m nezt season. Given that Bolonga insisted on 8 or 10 Mill up front from Saits, it seems unklikely that the Liverpool deal would allow Bolonga to pay their debts and sign the players they are linked with with just €5m. Would be strange if Bolonga accepted Liverpool's Jam Tomorrow deal.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 30 August, 2012 Share Posted 30 August, 2012 If Bologna truly need cash, sooner rather than later, and they have just spent out on a player then our offer, surely, has the more immediate and better effect. speed demon Posted 30 August, 2012 Share Posted 30 August, 2012 I've said several times that our gamble is not really the deal on the table but other clubs coming in for him. Not saying I'm right because nothing has happened yet but I am starting to get that sinking feeling that this isn't going to happen. It has simply gone on too long. I do not buy this idea that other clubs can't take him because there is not a lot of time and the deal is too complex, if you throw enough money at it and agree to this, agree to that - whats the hold up? Liverpool are the sort of club that know the prices of everything but the value of nothing and will just **** money up the wall to get who they want. I really hope I'm wrong but don't think it's going to happen.

This is how it's been going. For some reason Bologna continue to try and plant things in the media, to hurry us up I'd imagine. The talk of Liverpool is just that, talk. In 48 hours they will not be able to do a deal, it's way too short a time scale considering how long it took spurs earlier and how long it's taken us so far...! Remember a few days back?
