"TMW - Ramirez-Southampton: can be closed today

The Uruguayan could become a new player of Southampton, Pablo Bentancur, along with other intermediaries who are working on the operation, will arrive within a few hours in London to close the deal. Into the coffers of Bolgona should arrive about 14 million for 70% of the card.

Ramirez would be ready for a four-year 2.5 million euros per season plus bonuses."

he's always signing tomorrow...

Here in the Middle East such uncertainity is covered by saying "Bukra Inshallah" meaning tomorrow if god wills it! This means if it doesnt happen tomorrow it is no ones fault as obviously god did not will it!

I still think this will happen though and I have been "glass half full" since the early pages on this thread!

What i have heard from a reliable source. .... Another player landed at Heathrow last night heading for SMS today - Cortese requested an urgent hotel booking late yesterday afternoon. No confirmation of who it was but its got to be Rimerez right?

More likely a CB

Solid sensible interview with NA as always (thanks for the clip posted) after last night. V v unhappy with Guly but went out of his way to mention how good Hammond and other senior players were. Stressed how important it is to keep "mouths shut" about transfers until they sign on the line, but expects a couple more in. Good man!

Bologna are supposed to have a public training session at 18:00 Italian time. Be interesting to see if he's there. http://www.ilveromilanista.it/?p=14700

Seems unlikely as he was insulted by fans when leaving the "technical centre" yesterday. http://www.zerocinquantuno.com/?action=read&idnotizia=6713

Article just been posted on Gazzetta Dello Sport

http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Squadre/Bologna/

The fans rossoblù is in turmoil for the sale of Ramirez to Southampton, in addition to shell out 14 million to the club rossoblù the Saints must, however, overcome the resistance of Peñarol, which claims just 30% of its card. About 400 ultras were crowded at the gates of Casteldebole to challenge Guaraldi with spits, insults and choruses ("servant of Juve" the kindest). He also touched physical contact when the hottest tried to climb over the gates. Escorted by an officer of Digos President then met with a delegation of five supporters asking them to judge on August 31, ensuring that Ramirez will remain if the negotiations will not go into port by tomorrow or, alternatively, the money obtained in exchange for the capricious Niño will be reinvested to strengthen a team still largely incomplete. And 'now one step away from buying Patience and Juve midfield remain hot tracks Tissone and Matuzalem, for the attack remains in pole position followed by Lazio Floccari clivense Moscardelli and the defense always thinks all'interista Juan Jesus. In all this we must not forget that Saturday comes the Milan and Pioli is always free Natali and Perez, the only disqualified after the first round of Serie A. And returning from a round of stop Morleo has low back pain.

Bologna on the verge of signing another player. Where are they suddenly getting this money from?....

Bologna, comes Patience details

Article published Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11:16 - Bologna , Premier League .

Destiny to Bologna. After many requests and negotiations, Michele Pazienza is close to Bologna. Practically missing only the signature for the outright purchase. The contract will be extended by one year, to spread the engagement he perceived to Juventus. In Bologna, Patience will also take additional bonuses tied to attendance. And finally, he sees more clearly his future ...

Exactly. Really cant be long now and importantly, cant be any hitches left as they are agreeing deals in principle that are 'just missing signatures'. Means they must be 99% confident the Ramirez deal is going through so they can immediately sign these deals off as soon as that €14m hits their bank account.

Mirror columnist woh focuses on Italian football

Minarzouki: Ramirez to Southampton should conclude today. €14m for 70% of the player. 4 year deal worth €2.5m a season + bonuses.

I've not been keeping tabs on this. Do Penarol still retain 30% of his rights then?

Depends what you want to believe, we've either :-

- Bought Penarol's 30% stake in the player for €1.5m

- Agree a 30% sell on clause (on any profits) with Penarol

- Something else dodgily translated by google translate

Bearing in mind the first two were also dodgily translated by Google, then it's really anyone's guess...

No, it's against the rules. Would have thought we'd either pay them off or they'll hold a 30% sell on clause.

I hope we have had paid them off! At 21 years old, if he is as good as he seems, he could well be worth a whole lot more after a stint in the mental-money-no-object Premier League

Interesting article on BBC Football page about out of contract players:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19405554

The list of out of contract players on that article is so tempting, a who is who of washed up has beens relying on their names. BBC would have done more of a service listing some of the lesser names. That said, Basso was always decent at Bristol City, maybe a cheap 2nd option as backup for KD at least until next window. It would be great to sign a striked like Heskey, the thought of his prolific goal-scoring ability is mouth-watering LOL
