I thought someone earlier had mentioned that he hadn't played in 75% of games? Very happy to be wrong about this - where is MLG?

The latest Gazella report stated that he's played in 75% of Uruguay's games in the last 12 months, which is inc. the Olympic games.

peterwhite_1: Got to be honest so many transfer twists I don't want to build up hopes until I know something definite. Ear to the ground. #saintsfc

The other (BBC) Peter White was in the Alex on Sunday.

You really are a drama queen. I suppose you were following the gossip about the Keegan signing minute by minute in the months leading up to it. How did keep up to date then ? Carrier pidgeon ? Morse code ?

That was a much bigger deal than this wasn't it? This is becoming tedious, and some posters are deffo getting their rocks off posting twitter info every 5 minutes that is utterly meaningless! Journo's are believed on twitter bur ridiculed in the press - weird....and no one has a clue what's happening really.....

Nonsense, SOME journos will be closer to some deals, not to others. As much as they are ridiculed, it is their job to know what's going on or what could potentially be going on. How else would we even be talking about Ramirez?

I think he means that once the deal is completed, then Ramirez will be a 100% Saints player rather than co-owned by Penarol as there has been some confusion over this and different peoples interpretations of the 30%

Oh right, that's a better option IMO. Thanks :).

I REALLY hope that he doesn't sign.

That way this thread can keep going until January.

IF he signs then we'll be back to shorter threads with less lurkers popping out the ether and more infighting between posters who don't believe it is fair on Idiots to be compared to them.

Or something like that

Which is nothing we did not know seeing as PL rules ban dual ownership.

Crass stereotyping maybe, but is anyone feeling like Saints have been greased up and put over the proverbial barrel here? These feckers are worse than RyanAir for hidden charges.

I shan't be be doing my weekly shop in Italy following this less than stellar vicarious customer experience.

I have sorted it anyway thru twitter!! We play GR 70% of the season, penarol play him 30%! Bologna get him for cup games, and we loan him to Totton to help them avoid relegation later in season!! Re the Co op ownership, he is the new face on all their ads playing the John Hannah role, this should sort out the legalities lol!!

C.A.Peñarol‏@todomanyaa

Peñarol receive about $ S 2,500,000 for Gaston Ramirez's pass to Southampton in England.

No idea if this is reliable but would suggest a fee has been agreed with Penarol.

Tsk, if only we had pushed through our easyjet ticket pricing model through this season then we would have been well experienced with hidden charges and been able to negotiate a far better deal.

Jeez I can't keep up

SaintsFC FanZone ‏@SaintsFCFanZone #TransferNews to sleep on Boilesen CB £5m, Biyik CB €8m, Yoshida CB £2m, Tuncay Free, Ramirez €16m, Phillips £6m

Can't see that...we don't need 3 defenders!

Yoshida is dead anyway according to NA. Wouldn't be surprised to see Biyik turn up, a very very highly rated CB - who is right footed, strong and pacey. And is available for a very fair fee. If we don't get him, I guarantee a big club will snap him up and he'll end up turning into one of the best CB's in europe. From what I've heard about him and who I've spoken to about him, I think we'd have a signing there to rival Ramirez.

Chill, we've all seen the new season trailer on the Sci-Fi thread in the Arts forum. He's a Dalek, we always know what's gonna happen next:)

Oh & I know they have that whole Time Travel thingy ability but Dalek, SURELY you cannot have missed the past 105 pages. The facepalm was the fact we agreed terms on about page 2
