Sh1t the bed, this is been hard work

Seriously I dont think it has - pretty normal most likely, just that there ahs never been more scrutiny and interest which manifests itself on twitter with rumour and counter rumour - seems loike hard work because NO ONE has fricken clue what is REALLY going on...

And all this happening on a day that some on here didn't think counted as one of the days left before the transfer window closes. Everyone was supposed to have their feet up today because it is a holiday in England. So 4 more days of transfer business left after today.

From a Serie A-follower, I chatted with:

"Ramirez has a huge potential.

Excellent shot with his left foot but by no means one-legged (?), good understanding of the game and sharp dribbles. He's still a bit rough but also quite young.

He should not be tied to the wing, he needs freedom to move around. He has gradually been moved further forwards as his strengths does not lie in the defensive work. He does like to track back and take part in the build-up.

With all due respect I would have expected a bigger club to sign him."

Nothing new, but nice to see it reiterated from someone following the Serie A closely...

and I am starting to feel we are going to get a performance anti-climax a la Skacel.....

Of course you'd take that mind-set, it wouldn't be worth you posting you didn't. I honest to god don't know why you follow sport, it gives you no enjoyment what so ever. Just give it up is my advise.

Exactly, I doubt this has been a lot different to any other transfer we've been involved with. We've just been exposed to so much information through the medium of twitter and nobody can seperate what's actually correct from all the bull sh*t. If anyone in Italy knew how to keep their gob shut, this thread would have been very quiet for the last couple of weeks.

To all the Alpine bashers, I think he has a fair point. None of us really know if he's going to cut the mustard and none of us have seen him live. It's not like we're talking about Ronaldo but potentially he could be the next Ronaldo - the good one, not the fat one!

Lets hope it happens and lets hope he's amazing, hopefully signed and sealed in time to play against United as I'm back for the game.

Until I see the usual photo of him at SMS in either the shirt , or with a scarf I shall continue to believe Gaston Ramirez is a cure for indigestion rather than a footballer, let alone a Saints player.

5000 posts. This must exceed the combined total of Charlie Austin (who had a dozen medicals with us) and our year long Rodriguez thread.

Perhaps better than a Kinkladze Revisited season, ie player a genius whilst those around him get relegated as at Man City some years ago.

However it will be the signings in defence that probably sort that out for us.

Am i right in thinking 80% of saints fans are unemplyed? The amount of posts during the day from the same people is sizeable lol

God help us when some get their full crayon set as well:p;):):D WHOOOOPS:blush:

..know what you mean after 5000 - odd posts. It's become a bit boring.

Maybe it should have been a sort of secret meeting....Potters Heron....comeback from lunch and find out we've signed Kevin Keegan - type of deal...

well it's only Monday ....there is still time..... er...Michael Owen anyone ?

Yes there is a possibility but how can you possibly have a feeling that we will get an anticlimatic performance? It's ridiculous.

That's interesting, thanks for sharing although I'm a little bit confused as Turkish emphatically told us all he's a winger and will play on the wing because he's a winger

Ronaldo was a bit of an unknown quantity when he signed for Utd and the price tag raised a few eyebrows. He did take a wee while to settle in (to many step-overs etc trying to do too much), but once he did he became a formidable force.

Un' altro potenziale campione lascia la Serie A per emigrare al' estero, solo che questa volta non va in una super squadra come Barcellona,Real Madrid,Chelsea,Man.City ecc, ma al Southampton........... Gesù, come siamo caduti in basso..........

Ok, what two idiots can I compare you to?

This is supposed to be a Football Forum not a Forum to be rude to other members

These sort of Posts ruin other members who are interested in the Ramieriz saga of which I am one.

I think he is going to join us and if he does I think it will be one of the most signifiant signings in the last thirty years

It would be interesting to compare this thread with the Gaston Ramirez thread(s) on various Liverpool fans forums. After all he has had 5 medical with them and signed 4 times so far

Yes, really. One of the vids that came up when I was first looking into him (never heard of him before last week).
