AndyD Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 Which one of these Premiership clubs to go down - I really think Watford are in free-fall!
saint lard Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 None of them are Premiership clubs, sorry to be a pedant;). At the moment i would guess, and that's all it is,it would be Carlton. But there is along way to go yet,i suspect others will be drawn into the mire at some point soon.

CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 I can see the others all strengthening their teams come the January transfer window and givening themselves a real chance of staying in the CCC , saints on the other hand ........
lordswoodsaints Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 they are all in trouble in someway,in fact most clubs in the league have their own problems but i would say that watford and us look a bit dodgy.
saint lard Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 I can see the others all strengthening their teams come the January transfer window and givening themselves a real chance of staying in the CCC , saints on the other hand ........ I believe that Watford are up shi7 creek financially along with Charlton. So hopefully it isn't just us that will be selling all and sundry.
corsacar saint Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 Watford are in freefall and we are not? Did they not also win 3-0 here, not that I think they are any beytter than us.
Mole Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 I can see the others all strengthening their teams come the January transfer window and givening themselves a real chance of staying in the CCC , saints on the other hand ........ Yes. Our rivals will get stronger as we get weaker.
saint_stevo Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 Just hoping there are 3 teams worse than us...
Wes Tender Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 Every week that passes, it becomes clearer that even if there are three teams worse than us now, there won't be after we have sold any saleable quality in January.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 i'm prety sure Watford will get in an experienced championship manager unlike ours who who will bring in a few experienced pro's on loan to save them. They will not be playing 8 or 9 kids in their team for sure.
buctootim Posted 16 November, 2008 Posted 16 November, 2008 Saints young players are learning and getting better. Narrow loss against clear leaders today. We'll be mid table by season's end.
Badger Posted 16 November, 2008 Posted 16 November, 2008 Watford will soon have the 'new manager effect'. Lets just hope it is the 'Burley new manager effect' and they go for weeks/months without their first win however.Or could that only happen to us ?
brightspark Posted 16 November, 2008 Posted 16 November, 2008 Maybe in a few years time, we could possibly agree with fellow League 1 sides Leicester, Leeds, Watford, Charlton, Oldham, Forest, Swindon, MK Dons and Norwich to form a Barclays Lost Souls Premier League. I think Bradford are unconvincing so I wouldn't invite them.
David Strover Posted 16 November, 2008 Posted 16 November, 2008 Seeing as we can't defend very well, miss numerous chances during games and most telling of all cannot win at home I'd say we were in the biggest pile of sh*te we've been in for a long time. Of course our team are young and will get better......once we are playing at their correct level. Next season.
VectisSaint Posted 16 November, 2008 Posted 16 November, 2008 Which one of these Premiership clubs to go down - I really think Watford are in free-fall! Forest are more of a premiership club than Watford, bigger club than any of the three for that matter. Charlton will be ok once they change their manager, Watford will also be sorted (and clearly they are better than us, on the evidence of their recent visit) and Norwich have the forward power to win some games with Lita. Forest are gradually improving, good result yesterday almost got 3 points, and even Donny won. So the question probably should be which 2 teams will join Saints in Division 3 next season, because we are the only ones who currently do not look to have a hope of improving. That could all change of course if Wilde & Lowe see sense (some hopes) and replace JP with a half decent British manager
Mr X Posted 16 November, 2008 Posted 16 November, 2008 Saints young players are learning and getting better. Narrow loss against clear leaders today. We'll be mid table by season's end. we sure will
gjphilsaint Posted 16 November, 2008 Posted 16 November, 2008 Feel free to keep up to date with this on this thread... been going now for some while: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=1783

Agreed but, and JP is learning too. I reckon mid table at Christmas, then a fall in the aftermath of departures in January, and hopefully a surge again in March, April and May. I reserve the right to change my mind though after the next match.
