Uninspiring, unprofessional and indecisive...

What has happened in the last few months? Fans staying away in pre-season, putting square pegs in round holes to fit a formation that we haven't adapted to at all well, a lack of the needed quality being brought in and an illegal approach that could lead to a transfer embargo.

This season could be a disaster if we don't change this spiral of disappointments with positive news.

For those that don't like my threads, don't read them. Novel idea for you.

Something that has contributed greatly to our success in the last few years has been the positive feeling around the club, and keeping the momentum going. I feel the good feeling around the club is starting to dissipate and wane amid the lack of quality signings and poor performances.

Talk about poor performances when the season starts and a lack of signings when the transfer window shuts.

Until then, stop bloody moaning.

I went to the Liebherr Cup and the Ajax game, but having just shelled out £525 for a ST and then £80 overall for Man City, forgive me for not going to any more pre-season friendlies.

We're trying out new formations, new positions for players etc. Remember how sh!t we were during Wilkins' few games in charge and the first few games of Adkins' reign? That's what we're going through now. It's a period of transition but I think this new formation will be better suited to the Premier League.

I am quite chilled, I have other things in my life to do that. In fact it seems those that aren't chilled are the posters like you you react angrily to my concerns. Obviously you don't feel we have any problems (or you don't wish to complain/debate them), but if this is so why don't you choose to not read my threads.

Perhaps, but to me if we're going to change formation we really need to be relatively proficient prior to the start of the season. I don't feel this has been achieved.

Trust me when I say you would never win a courtcase with that type of proof. If you could actually explain why that is a tough guy comment then I'll admit it, as I am more than happy to admit when I'm wrong.

Tough man hard hitting lawyer.

Pre season friendlies are a total waste of time. I never bother with them and quite clearly I'm not along. Doesn't mean there is an issue or or a loss in confidence from fans. Give it a week and Saints will be back in my life once more and no doubt everyone else's too.

The change in formation is scary, but 4-3-3 is the way to go.

I think it is as well, but for some reason to me it seems a bit of an afterthought possibly...

How can they be boring yet also amuse you? Bit of an oxymoron there.

I'd be guessing that the content is boring but the context provided amusement. Eg "this bloke writes boring crap but it's funny he wastes so much time doing it".

Random example plucked from my head...

EDIT : as clarified above, amazing.

If I was DP Saint (this stuff writes itself) I'd be slightly concerned no-one has bothered addressing the concerns. Maybe they have been over stressed recently?

Are we to expect further concerns raised after the near-inevitable 3 defeats and unconvincing draw home to Wigan?

OMG...this forum must be getting really sad when this is the best thing I can find to waste one of my 3 posts on today.

THERE IS NO CRISIS

Pre-season results are meaningless (ask Man city if they are wrist slitting because they've lost in pre-season)

The price of the home friendlies were ridiculous, hence the low crowds.

Yes, it would be nice to have an additional CB and some extra cover at GK in the bag.

No we are not going to be relegated having not scored a goal or gained a point all season (just following the logical progression of the wrist slitters on here)

No we're not going to win the league (just saying that so no-one accuses me of being happy clappy as that would really hurt my feelings).

LOL Get a grip people or are your lives that meaningless and boring that you have nothing better to do than come on here and have a ***** on a Saturday night!

A classic 'look at me, look at me' response. Post garbage and then whine when people dare to disagree.

Says the forum hard man that told me to get my d*ck out of TDDs mouth

Are you continuously bringing up this hard man thing because you want to be seen as the hardman? Is that why you had the avatar of the Stath for so long?

I notice you're still not answering my questions to you on why that post is a hard man thing to say? If someone said that to me on the street, I wouldn't immediately think "what a hard man".

To be fair I have not mentioned the pre-season results, as I know they mean nothing, however the issue is the performances have been poor.

The ticket prices being high I see as an organisation thing. Surely they made predictions on how many tickets they would sell at those prices, and they must have been mightily wrong.

Amongst other things, the forum is here to comment on the running of the club, so telling someone to shut up seems rather silly. Let's hope the people running the club don't take Nexstar's advice, because once the season starts, poor performances will mean lost points and it will be very hard to turn around a poor start. As for lack of signings, there's not much point of complaining AFTER the window shuts when its too late for the club to do anything about it.

Complaining now can have an effect as shown by Nigel Adkins' press conference where he said he wanted to assure fans signings were on the way, so the unrest seems to be on the club radar. Unfortunately, its looking as if any signings now will not have as much effect on the early games as they would have done if made weeks ago. One way to counter that would be to raise the level of the player quality brought in - in other words spend more now than might have been necessary in early July - but the probability of that looks very low. Already it looks as if some approaches failed for financial reasons and the 3 week halt on signings is very worrying.
