swannymere Posted 11 August, 2012 Share Posted 11 August, 2012 Just a heads up from another forum I frequent; I checked my credit card statement this morning and saw a £10 deduction from Completesave.co.uk. I checked my purchase history and could not find any transactions with Completesave or any variation of this name. I then checked my back statements and found in May and June 2012, £10 deductions were also made from my account by Completesave. When I phoned Completesave and spoke to customer services, I was informed that in March I purchased a Ryanair flight and by agreeing the terms and conditions I had also agreed that my credit card details would be passed to a third party company (in this case Completesave) and I am liable for subsequent membership charges. When I checked Ryanair's website again, I found the information is tucked away in a paragraph in tiny no.4 font. It appears that there is a separate "tick box" buried within the Ryanair terms and conditions, but that the default is that the box is ticked, and one has to untick the box when booking otherwise the card details used for the booking will be passed to Completesave who will then start charging you £10 per month for "membership". So, if you're going to book with Ryanair take care to uncheck the relevant box, and if you have booked with Ryanair and didn't notice the checkbox, it might be wise to check your card statement for unexpected charges. Pugwash Posted 11 August, 2012 Share Posted 11 August, 2012 Typical of the company and another reason why I won't fly with them. If they weren't running an airline, they'd be tarmaccing drives.

Same here. Easyjey are basic customer service and no frills but are fundamentally honest imo. Ryanairs are shysters.
