Tel Ben Haim? Dave Kitson?

OK people, calm down. If your answer is going to be "I wouldn't touch those Pompey ****sticks with a barge pole" then please, there's no need to post here.

Here we have two premiership players available for nada.

We need a CB. Fact! I know TBH has been on silly money down the road, but bearing in mind he has received a pay off, maybe we could offer him something in line with our wage structure, say £20k/wk.

There aren't many players who could play deputy to Lambert - playing the same way, so no change in our style. I believe Kitson could! Again, I'd make an offer and see if he's interested. I assume he lives down here, maybe kids in school, so I think we have leverage.

Come on, people, what do you say? And not a flat "we don't want Pompey rejects here."

Alan Ball, Alan McLoughlin ... we have had them before.

No thank you very muchley.

Kitson offers nothing bit in the mould of Beattie, great at Reading then achieved chuff all when he left believing he was as big as the hype that surrounded him in the very Small pond that is Reading.

Ben Haim always gives the impression that he is a disruptive character, so with that at the core I don't feel he offers us anything of use

I wouldn't touch those Pompey ****sticks with a barge pole. Sorry, in all seriousness TBH is past it, and so is the other skate ****, wouldn't bring anything to the squad apart from a bad work ethic and high wages, plus Kitsons ginger FFS.

The thing is, these guys weren't sold from Portsmouth, their contracts were mutually terminated because nobody wanted them. They have been rubbish for the last few seasons and Ben Haim has never been good. Kitson had one good season with Reading and then did nothing for Stoke.

I can't actually believe you're being serious in making a claim for us to sign these two Pomoey rejects.

They're both very poor championship players. If we signed either we'd be looking at relegation.

TBF I think Tel Ben Haim is better than that but not sure he's better than we currently have so wouldn't improve us. Kitson on the other hand, would be nowhere near our team.

Wouldn't mind TBH, TBH. He is one of my favourite footballers of all time for sucking the life out of the mongs.

Problem is, he HASN'T, they have got away with £150M and £50M of DEBT, and will start again with a puny -10

Why the likes of Luton, Bournemouth etc are not pounding on the FL's door amazes me.

What hold have Pompey got over the Football Authorities ????

Level playing field ??? ..... Horlicks !!!!

Urm no. Kitson really isn't any good at all and Ben Haim is a money grabbing idiot, why would he sign such a stupid contract with a club that clearly couldn't pay it.

His only redeeming feature (from being a shocking cb) is that he held pomp to most the money from the deal (clearly in the knowledge he'll never earn like that again).

Couldn't we just grant him a testimonial without having to sign him?

Sign him on a short contract, grant him a testimonial, insist it's held at Fratton Park, sit back and admire fireworks.

There'd be no trouble getting Chinrai's buy in for this idea. No single event would get Fratton Park levelled quicker. He could start building his supermarket on the Sunday morning and Pompey fans would have done all the demolition.

I'm certainly NOT a troll, Guan. Have over 1500 posts and saints fan for 45 years!

I don't say these guys are the best our money can buy, far from it, but I'm always on the lookout for a bargain. We are short of players with premiership experience, and we could have taken them on a one year contract, and then been free of them if they offered nothing.

Ben Haim will likely go back to Israel, and Kitson back to Cambridge, where they are held in high regard.

Yes, I hope we bring in players better than them, but they would be a 'placeholder' until then.

They are terrible, just relegated from the Championship, players. Injury prone has-beens who are only interested in picking up a wage for doing nothing for as long as possible.

Ridiculous idea, not least because at least one of them already has another team.
