Dr Who? Posted 10 August, 2012 Share Posted 10 August, 2012 Hi all, I am looking to go to the home game against Wigan, with Mrs Dr Who and 2 of the 3 children. I am not a season ticket holder, and the kids are 3 and 7 month baby! What sort of price will I be looking for for the little ones? Cheers
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 10 August, 2012 Share Posted 10 August, 2012 (edited) Pretty sure it's purchase 2 adult tickets get 1 child ticket free in the family section? So £28 each for adults, 1 child free and the other I think is between £8 and £10. Doesn't seem to give u-11 prices in family stand for Cat C games. Might be worth calling up and asking though as the website doesn't make it clear whether it's talking about season tickets or match tickets half the time. Cheers How do you have 3 and 7 month old babies? 4 months is not a very long gap in between. I thought pregnancy took about 9 months these days? Are they really your children? Or are you a man whore? To answer your question: I don't know.

Saint Stimp Posted 10 August, 2012 Share Posted 10 August, 2012 Honest question, what is the point of bringing a 7 month old to the football? Surely the noise would just upset him/her?

melmacian_saint Posted 10 August, 2012 Share Posted 10 August, 2012 Just to be sure and even though it has nothing to do with this game (but with the general topic), I've made the following assumptions concerning the United game: -On the website, you can only purchase for Wigan/ManU if you're a ST holder, and only use the priority booking if you are one; -The deadline shown for the start of the sale of ManU only tickets on the website is for ST holders exclusively; Is this true? I'm hoping so because I'll be away for the Wigan match and have 2 relatives that would like to come to the ManU game, so I'm looking to buy tickets for that match only, but I'm worried about the fact that non-ST people from the general sale of Wigan tickets (not sure when it starts) might get ahead of me in getting tickets for the game. The9 Posted 10 August, 2012 Share Posted 10 August, 2012 Just got mine. Block 28 Kingsland. Had no idea they were on general sale, so thanks for that. I think the logic is as this is the first match and against Wigan, everyone other than ST holders are in a big ole pile and able to buy what they want. They've twinned it with Man U but apparently people aren't signing up for both in great numbers, probably due to holidays.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 10 August, 2012 Share Posted 10 August, 2012 . They've twinned it with Man U but apparently people aren't signing up for both in great numbers, probably due to holidays. My oldest wanted a Man U/Wigan ticket and as I was off I said I would ring the TO for him. I was all ready to spend ages and ages getting the engaged tone or not being able to get through, like last year. Got through stright away and sorted tickets out by 9.08am. I dont know whether people haven't realised they are on sale , Man U being a sky game, or more season tickets holders meaning less queues , but I was surprised how easy it was compared to previous years. One of the reasons I got a S/T despite having to miss about 6/7 games a season, was to aviod hours and hours trying to get tickets for big games. It's not been the case with the Man U game, which I find a bit strange.

Junction 9 Posted 10 August, 2012 Share Posted 10 August, 2012 Just bought mine online, the system is very good now. You can see exactly what seats are available in each block, and even what the view is like from the seat!.
bender Posted 10 August, 2012 Share Posted 10 August, 2012 I got a ticket for me and my 4 year old last night. Me = £27, nipper = FREE. In the family centre of course. Whilst I was at it I got a Man Utd ticket for each of us £35 for me and £8 for the nipper. Didnt realise that for Cat B and C games its free for under 11's as long as its in the family centre. oldsarum Posted 11 August, 2012 Share Posted 11 August, 2012 Didnt even know they were on sale FFS. Just been on the OS and it doesnt offer me tickets for Wigan? At moment it only shows Udinese tickets when you go inot site However if you log into your account, tickets for Wigan and Man city are then avaialable and Man u tickets also once you've booked Wigan tickets
Professor Posted 11 August, 2012 Share Posted 11 August, 2012 As per what others have said, Wigan tickets are available on the website and the buyer can also buy a Man U ticket, which at this stage gives priority at the Man U game to people buying for at least one other game. For anyone new to SMS unless going behind the goals, at this time of the year the Itchen Stand can be in full sunshine so Kingsland can be better, or else take a peaked cap. You still need to tell the ticket office who you're buying for to get the loyalty points assigned to them. How do they know who you're buying for? oldsarum Posted 12 August, 2012 Share Posted 12 August, 2012 All the people who've i've had linked to me for sales have automatically had the transaction recorded against their individual accounts, so I would have thought they would automatically get the points added to their accounts automatically too. However at the moment there is nowhere on your account that I can find, that shows how many loyalty points you currently have
