fromdayone Posted 9 August, 2012 Posted 9 August, 2012 (edited) Why has the ko time been changed to 7pm from 12pm? (might have been 1pm). Edited 9 August, 2012 by fromdayone error
itchen_dan Posted 9 August, 2012 Posted 9 August, 2012 Why has the ko time been changed to 7pm from 12pm? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/saints-v-udinese-preview-302273.aspx Tickets remain available for Saturday's game, which kicks off at 7pm to allow you to take in the Gold Medal Match of the 2012 Olympic Men's Football Tournament.
SuperMikey Posted 9 August, 2012 Posted 9 August, 2012 Obviously we've realised that our pre-season gates are poor. Anyone know if they'll be showing the Olympic football at SMS?
trousers Posted 9 August, 2012 Posted 9 August, 2012 So, they've moved it to clash with the climax of the Olympics track and field events in order to avoid a clash with a football game that no-one cares about? Interesting marketing tactic... :-)
fromdayone Posted 9 August, 2012 Author Posted 9 August, 2012 They changed it about 6 weeks ago. Yeah bummer! I knew it was originaly lunchtime ko - was going but cant now as working Sat night.
The9 Posted 9 August, 2012 Posted 9 August, 2012 So, they've moved it to clash with the climax of the Olympics track and field events in order to avoid a clash with a football game that no-one cares about? Interesting marketing tactic... :-) Well, quite. An 8am kick off might have maximised the crowd on this occasion. Would have been nice to see Granada and Watford roped in for a pathetic tournament too, seeing as they all have the same owners as Udinese. Don't worry, hopefully we'll be fully integrated into the ridiculous Prem team pre-season kick off timetable by next season.

Interesting marketing tactic... :-) Especially as the timing of the Olympic football gold medal match was decided long before we were even dreaming of having a friendly with Udinese. Why do the club bother making shi te up.

Why do the club bother making shi te up. The kick off time allows you to watch the gold medal match. It was not moved to allow you to do so. HTH
kpturner Posted 9 August, 2012 Posted 9 August, 2012 It says that tickets can be bought online but they are not listed as available on the online ticket site. Anyone know if they can be purchased on the day?
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 9 August, 2012 Posted 9 August, 2012 Yeah bummer! I knew it was originaly lunchtime ko - was going but cant now as working Sat night. Why did you have to call him a bummer??? Honestly this forum has gone right down the toilet FFS........
CB Fry Posted 9 August, 2012 Posted 9 August, 2012 The kick off time allows you to watch the gold medal match. It was not moved to allow you to do so. HTH Sorry Nicola.
The9 Posted 9 August, 2012 Posted 9 August, 2012 With the greatest of respect, I went to the bloody semi-final at Wembley AND the Team GB QF in Cardiff and even I don't give a toss about the Final. Having said that, I'm not going to the Udinese game either. Would have liked to, but have chosen to go to Man City instead.

So now you're saying that the Man City game has been moved to this Saturday as well? Oh I give up, I'm going to watch Taunton Town play Stoke St Gabriel.
Alanh Posted 10 August, 2012 Posted 10 August, 2012 Anyone know how much the tickets are for this one? I can't find the info on the OS.

Oh I give up, I'm going to watch Taunton Town play Stoke St Gabriel. Noooo, I'm saying I don't get paid between Man City match going on sale and the Udinese match which I don't have a ticket for, so I can't go to both.
Golden Balls Posted 10 August, 2012 Posted 10 August, 2012 Prices for pre season have been far too high! That and having 4 home games have meant the gates have been pretty terrible
kpturner Posted 10 August, 2012 Posted 10 August, 2012 Noooo, I'm saying I don't get paid between Man City match going on sale and the Udinese match which I don't have a ticket for, so I can't go to both.Methinks he was joking
The9 Posted 10 August, 2012 Posted 10 August, 2012 Methinks he was joking He was, obviously, but in a sideways kind of way to the point.
John Boy Saint Posted 10 August, 2012 Posted 10 August, 2012 Bit miffed at myself for not paying attention to the Olympic timetable so disappointed to be missing Mo Farah in the 5k. C'est la vie, going to have to do Olympic Cold Turkey at some stage.
