Twitter rumours

I don't mind listening to rumours but that is all they are. Saints fc is as tight as a ducks arse as far as information is concerned and long may that continue. It is a very professional way of running a club. The evidence suggests far more stability than most people are alluding to

1 NC is a tough negotiator and is committed to not wasting money but investing wisely where it matters.

2 He has the support of the Leibherr family

3 NA was hi appointment and he would look pretty stupid and incompetent to sack him without very good reason

4 He has supported some very good signing so far and would not have done so if he had another manager in mind

5 A reading player or tweeter is unlikely to have access to information that the players actually AT the cub do not

6 NA is an up and coming manager continually stepping out of his comfort zone and has so far proved very capable. I see no reason to suppose he would not succeed at the highest level

7 Together as one is more than just a strap line. We should not understimate the collective benefit of people like Reed, Wilkins, Cole and the physios as well as NA /NC

8 If you were working in a club with that much depth of talent you could probably put up with a difficult chairman knowing you have the support of your peers

9 NC would also be reluctant to lose NA as there is the risk he would take a large section of his staff with him

10 NA has said we will not make wholesale changes like Reading or WHU so comparisons are largely irrelevant

11 Despite that he has said today he expects 2 or 3 more signings.

Have a bit of faith!

No. I just asked you a question that is all. And you haven't been able to justify an answer I notice.

I'm not saying it's not the case I'm asking you why you believe this player should know such information.

I can only post 3 times over a 24 hr period.

i have no reason to disbelieve him, couple this with the alleged verbal 'sacking' of Adkins,on more than one occasion I might add.not sure what he has to gain by speaking about the working relationship between NA and NC,I did not bring that up.it was almost his opening sentence our conversation which took me back somewhat.

he alluded that after we lost to reading at home at the back end of last season was almost the final straw for NA.

post match heated discussions where quite we're audible to many also.

i won't broach it anymore.my supposed perceived 'agenda' against Nigel clouds many posters ability to read correctly it seems.

that is not aimed at yourself.

again, how do we have a trigger happy chairman..?

he has moved on 1 manager.....ONE MANAGER

Of course, this assumes the chairman is only "managing headcount" (i.e. hiring and firing) for the position of Team Manager/Head Coach. There has been a massive turnover of staff in back-office departments (ticketing, marketing, retail, commercial, etc).

Again, how does that compare to other clubs? Do they not have a turnover of staff... Especially one with our last 7 years of history?

It does happen all over, but we have had a decent turnover since they've been in charge of us.

I speak from a bit of experience as I am friends with someone who was let go right at the start of the ownership. Unfortunately that period wasn't handled that well and people were forced to leave and accept payouts, and it all turned very sour. NC wanted his own people and didn't want anyone from the old regime left over in key positions, so he wielded the axe on a hell of alot of people - very ruthless.

But you could say that we'd been under performing for years, all areas of the club had failed, so why not start again with a fresh brush? I think it was just the way it was done which caused a bit of a sour ending.

There is a decent turnover in the backroom still, but these are in area's which are under performing and not producing the results NC wants - so he changes until he gets the results he wants.

I've no idea how we compare on that front, but from speaking to people who have worked at the club both past and present, the turnover at SFC has increased a lot in the last 3 years compared to before that. As a guide, since David Luker left nearly two years ago (who had been at the club for a decade or so), we've gone through 3 ticket office managers, for whatever reason. Whether we're just hiring the wrong people from the start or we're hiring the right people but failing to keep them happy, I don't know.

We are now in the Premier League

Cortese wants "Big" signings

Part of the attraction for "Big" signings, is a "Big" Manager, with a BIG ego, and BIG trail of failures at other teams, and a BIG wage packet, wasting BIG

Adkins is not classed as a "Big" Manager, but neither were Furgeson/Wenger/Redcrapp et al, before they managed in the top league

We therefore cannot attract "Big" signings, because BIG signings like to be made to look small.

Therefore, to attract "Big" signings, Cortese may be looking to sign a "Big" profile Manager, because back-to-back promotions, changing the team over and over again and paying big bucks for 11 strangers who are playing for BIG wages, rather than a Team of 11 players playing for each other, and the fans, and the team are so much the road to failure.

Not forgetting that it is a waste of money to develop an acadamy when we can buy what we want for top dolla.

I care, a poorly trained / poorly managed ticket office can be a right pain in the jacksie when it comes to buying tickets and our customer service is bad enough.

What I'm starting to wonder is why you've appointed yourself as the King of Meh. You hardly ever post other than to tell people there's no reason to be bothered about things that people are clearly bothered about ? Why bother ?

No.

For example. Moaning that the new OS is too hard to navigate is hilarious

It's as easy as any other website.

Maybe some do find it hard to navigate. I don't like the OS, not for those reasons, but I thnk its pretty bad.

Same old rules, really. If you don't like the debate, either don't participate in it or try and shape it. Sniping from the sidelines about everyone moaning is equally pointless; just ignore it or put up a counter argument.

Just saying. Just we as fans do like a good old moan

How am I trying to stop anyone. Just pointing out the trivial things people just keep moaning about the club

Of course they're trvial, its a message board for irrational and bored people while the football isn't on! Anyway, I don't want to carry on moaning about the people moaning about the moaning....

All moanworthy other than the away tickets being posted and Dell club membership (and the PA, which you'd expect to be crap), IMHO. I don't see why there's a problem with people having a problem with something when there's clearly room for improvement ? I'm also not quite sure how adding to the moaning by moaning about it helps ?

This is not a moan, by the way, it's a genuine question about why you've decided to appoint yourself as the person who decides what people get to talk about.

I hasn't decided. Just saying I think saints fans on here moan like fuk in general

Not much to talk about if everyone agrees, is there ? For instance, the complete lack of debate about this season's ticket prices (other than people who had to move from Block 4) suggests that people are generally happy with ticket prices.

The above IS NOT MY ORIGINAL POST purely doctored to include answers/responses NOT my own

I don't mind taking flak for what I have posted, but NOT for "doctored" responses
