Saints official website is rubbish

It must mean something that my first click is now for the Echo where the main news can be read quickly and then follow up with the OS to get more details if necessary. A complete turn around from before.

No, I'm not getting used to it, it is just too poor for that. So poor indeed so that the club ought to look into an immediate re-designer. The contracts involved in this between the club, the league and the provider couldn't allow for such a poor product to have to be accepted.

It's never going to be very good I'm afraid, or even as easily usable as its predecessor, but I've found it does work a bit better on the Firefox web browser - as opposed to crappy old Internet Explorer for example.

Just my personal experience - Microsoft fans need not take offence !

I read it on Firefox on a laptop - I think you're just being kind! I've just contacted a visually impaired friend who is _very_ computer literate for her views as sites need to be accessible under the Discrimination Act provisions. I'll let you know her opinions, and it might be interesting to ask Peter White the broadcaster as he's a Saints fan. It's bad enough for us: a graphic, unwieldy, incoherent mess which puts you off browsing. No doubt if you have something specific to look at you can eventually get there but the whole experience puts you off doing anything more.

It is almost as bad as the revamped BBC sport site. And that is saying something.

To be fair the BBC Sport website had a few glitches when it was first unveiled, but it is by far the best place on the internet for sports news now. The Olympic coverage in particular was incredible. To compare it to Saints OS is ridiculous.

Good summary, it breaks virtually all the usability rules for web sites. The designer has clearly never read or understood the classic website guide "Don't make me think!"

Disagree - visually it is utterly repellent, and a navigation nightmare. Content is all videos - virtually nothing to read, no analysis, whereas before it was a font of intelligent, in-depth background reporting articles and comment. They are just saving £ by cutting and pasting TV footage.

Dont know if anyone else has bothered but iv'e just emailed, marketing@saintsfc.co.uk to express my views on this new crap website, suggest others do the same.

After all its our site and if no one tells them its sh1t, there never gonna know.

I think they know it's sh1t. Most of the clubs do but they're stuck with it for now, unless they and us want to pay a massive fee to get out of the contract.
