Blast from the past.....

I've been meaning to upload this picture for ages.

It's a Press Association photo that appeared in a newspaper the day after the cup final.

My father spotted himself in the pic and sent off for a copy. It's been lurking at the back of a drawer ever since.

I've not seen it anywhere else online so I thought I'd scan it and share it with you guys.

I wondered if anyone recognises themselves or friends and family in the crowd.

Looks like it's a few Saints fans in with the United lot.

 

We were outnumbered 3 to 1, United had a very young team and was becoming the "non football fans club".

Most of the saints fans were in the Upper Tier either side of the Tunnel at the old Wembley

Great pic, love the fashion, taches and even smoking, a lot has changed since then. No seats where we were, the concrete terraces were literally bouncing, grown men crying, wonderful memories.
