Legod Third Coming Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Jason and Morgan were superb today. Yep both looked proper footballers. Great to see Morgan get a goal. Hope that helps his confidence. Because confident he is a class act.
Avenue Saint Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Jason and Morgan were superb today. Have to smile looking back to times debating with posters as to the value of morgan and how hammond is NOT and never will be a better proposition for the prem. Having said that, that's what makes this the beautiful game, all the different opinions. ...obviously some are closer to the mark than others ;-)
Golac's Cunning Stunts Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Punch = MOTM today. Fair play to the guy for coming good. Long may it continue.
saints-cris Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Was class today.. glad we've kept him to be honest!
doddisalegend Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 He seems to think more of himself than anyone else does, I dont think he can do it for us in the Prem and I think NA should let him go. I still recall the last match of the season with him dancing along side Adam, Lambo etc as if he was part of the team that got us promoted. For most of the season he thought he was too good for us untill he thought he could get some glory. Puncheon LEAVE NOW Thank **** he didn't class player
S-Clarke Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Quality performance. It shows that if 2 parties can bang their heads together, it can all work out ok in the end. Technically he's a very good footballer, but this was his best ever display for us. - Maybe his career in terms of the level he was at.
Chez Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 real lack of humble pie on this thread considering the abuse he's taken over the last few years.
lordswoodsaints Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 For me he was superb today, only second behind morgan for motm.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Maybe Punch's form is the reason we didn't add an out & out winger at the end of the window, like Phillips? Playing as he did today, I'd rather have Puncheon...

saints_is_the_south Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Punch was fantastic today, my MOTM for us.
BlakeySFC Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Jason, Morgan, Adam and Rickie were absolutely amazing today. Steve Davis was awesome too. Still think Kelvin isn't good enough for the Prem
Spudders Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Not been a massive fan of Puncheon but credit where it's due, he's been looking good recently
mitch01 Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Superb today, played with real conviction. Seems to relish the big occasion.
Pugwash Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Never doubted his talent, just his attitude. Looks like someone's put an arm round him and turned him around. He seems so much more settled and is now in the form of his life. Great for him, great for the club.
austsaint Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Pleased for Punch - he is showing a lot of character to go with his undoubted talent.
AussieDog Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 After last seasons' tantrus, and only ever having seen him play shyte I would have bee nquite happy for him to rot in the reserves until his contract ran out (unless someone offered stupid money of course), but today's game was his best by far for us. He just seems (or seemed) to have a fragile ego and as soon as things go wrong he wants to bail or thow a massive sulk. Let's hope he's grown up. If he stays in the first team it will be on merit, but hopefully he can handle being a sub most of the time once Mayuka and Ramirez find their feet.
ottery st mary Posted 2 September, 2012 Posted 2 September, 2012 Punch is a class act:)........thank God Morgan is listening to me at last....also a class act.. I like the look of Steve Davis as well:) as he gets fitter.
doggface Posted 3 September, 2012 Posted 3 September, 2012 He was great when we 1st signed him, then totally lost his way. Been great recently like a new signing, can he play left back ; )?
CanadaSaint Posted 3 September, 2012 Posted 3 September, 2012 It was good to see him applauding the fans after the personal stuff he's taken from some quarters.
Special K Posted 3 September, 2012 Posted 3 September, 2012 He was mustard yesterday. Good performance and not afraid to have a good go.
Bad Wolf Posted 3 September, 2012 Posted 3 September, 2012 It's all very well saying "He's taken abuse from us" etc but in fairness it WAS his fault. He acted like a child through out that whole saga, so did his agent. But he's said sorry so that's that IMO and I'm very glad to have him in our team when he's playing like this.
