Miltonroader07 Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 He seems to think more of himself than anyone else does, I dont think he can do it for us in the Prem and I think NA should let him go. I still recall the last match of the season with him dancing along side Adam, Lambo etc as if he was part of the team that got us promoted. For most of the season he thought he was too good for us untill he thought he could get some glory. Puncheon LEAVE NOW
Appy Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 I don't think celebrating promotion will get him sold. By all accounts he has been one of our best players in pre season, i'm willing to see how he does, could be a valuable player this year.
Jack Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 You're an idiot. I'm sure he'll read this and 'leave now'. Players don't just 'leave'. I don't like him, but he's been one of the better performers in pre-season, played well yesterday, has some prem experience, and is a useful squad player.
pingwing Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Meh, he's been good over all this pre-season but that doesn't necessarily count for all that much come the start of the season. I'm not much of a fan of him anyway as his performances last year when he could be bothered to be about generally weren't much to shout about (after his first game back). Just seems not to have that consistency we have from the rest of the lads. Hopefully if he goes its on our terms and we replace him with someone better.

If we are to play 4 3 3 theres no one else better than him to play on the right of the offensive 3 in my opinion . Him and clyne seem to gel quite well together.

Glasgow_Saint Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 I dont understand the need to slag off our own players! Let Adkins pick the team, he hasnt let us down yet!!! Get behind the whole team ffs
scotty Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 I think NA should let him go. I'm no expert on contracts, but if it was quite that simple I imagine the Puncheon situation might have been resolved by now, one way or the other.
The Kraken Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Going by yesterday's performance he seems to fit well with Clyne. He certainly seems a more natural fit there than Guly, who may well compete with Lallana for the attacking midfield role. I'd prefer for us to sign someone like Jarvis as I don't think Puncheon is quite good enough as a regular starting option, but he's definitely a great option to have in the squad.
ibizasaint Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 I dont understand the need to slag off our own players! Let Adkins pick the team, he hasnt let us down yet!!! Get behind the whole team ffs Inc Guly?
Bearsy Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 You may think Puncheon is sh!t, I mean I know I do, but it's a bit much to dislike him cos of what you think he's thinking or whatever. Him and Guly again innit. Punch and Guly is very naughty boys on here. Possibly they've been stealing sausages again!
Golden Balls Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 I'm not his biggest fan. So much so he's even blocked me on twitter after he was being a nob. But he has had a great pre season and looked to work well with Clyne. Hopefully he can be consistent

But then most people that use twitter are knobs.

RinNY Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Don't care what he does with the mustard, so long as he doesn't "cut the cheese". I'm thinking Adkins will decide whether he's good enough to play a role for us this season, and based on the pre-season so far, Adkins seems to rate him.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 only ever seen him be poor I don't rate him at all Yes, he did ok for Blackpool Confused much!? Support the team ffs
Joesaint Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 I think he will have a great season with us. We all make mistakes when we are young, and his now attitude has been quality.
THEVMAN Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Dont believe all the **** you hear about him his not as bad as people would make out.
Golden Balls Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Are you sure it was him being the knob? It was you that was blocked. But then most people that use twitter are knobs. Yep. It's when he had his twitter outburst. I said something along the lines of how grateful he should be to be in a position millions could only dream of and how he's not bigger than sfc.
boxosponge Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 You may think Puncheon is sh!t, I mean I know I do, but it's a bit much to dislike him cos of what you think he's thinking or whatever. Him and Guly again innit. Punch and Guly is very naughty boys on here. Possibly they've been stealing sausages again! No, I think it's more to do with the colour of their skins. Why are so many morons on here so racist?
The Kraken Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 No, I think it's more to do with the colour of their skins. Why are so many morons on here so racist? Oh do f*ck off playing the race card.
Bearsy Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Yeah i don't think we'll hearing that so much this year, cos Fonte, Hammonds and De Ridder are all getting set up for abuses!
The9 Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 If we're playing a narrow 3 in midfield, that's perfectly in line with Puncheon's preferred and most successful position (which he proved at Millwall). He also has recent Prem experience and could be useful in the first few games, which is "traditionally" when he's at his best anyway.
Turkish Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Puncheon was excellent when he first joined, then when his formed dipped a bit and like everyone else, made a bad start to our promotion season all the divs started getting on his back. Is it just coincidence that both Guly and Puncheon have had dips in form when the crowd have started getting on their back?
DG Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 We're not exactly spoilt for choice in that department (at the moment) so I can't see us getting rid of him.
dronskisaint Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Give him a chance to have turned it round - he pi ssed me off with his attitude over the last couple of seasons but the games I've seen this preseason he's been outstanding, committed and skilfull - real team player and encouraging Clyne and the youngsters. And what Whitey Grandad said..
saintedwill Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 If Adkins thinks he's good enough for the team, then I'll trust his judgement. If someone on here is confident they could have won us back to back promotions and has the record to back it up, then maybe I'll change my mind.

Dig Dig Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Inc Guly? Glasgow Saint doesn't really dislike Guly. He loves him.
Golden Balls Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 No, I think it's more to do with the colour of their skins. Why are so many morons on here so racist? Yeah cos that Clyne bloke is also getting plenty or stick....oh Moron
SaintNeil90 Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Puncheon will be a big player for us next season. I'm glad none of you make the decisions at our club. Clueless.
Golden Balls Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Puncheon will be a big player for us next season. I'm glad none of you make the decisions at our club. Clueless. I'm not so sure. He has the potential to be and is showing that now. Let's just hope he can keep it up
CanadaSaint Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 He has one big thing going for him - a measure of versatility. That doesn't make him a starter but it makes him a good guy to have on the bench. He considers himself a Premier League player and I think he's going to get the chance to prove it.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Glasgow Saint doesn't really dislike Guly. He loves him. I love all Saints players! Dont understand the idiots that slag off our own players. Win, lose or drawer support the lads imho
boxosponge Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Yeah i don't think we'll hearing that so much this year, cos Fonte, Hammonds and De Ridder are all getting set up for abuses! Can you translate into English please?

Bearsy Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 Can you translate into English please? Of course botox! I'm always happy to expound or whatever upon the theme of my posts to make them clear to even the meanest intelligences! It's perfectly simple, first I have to take you back to the days of slavery. What they used to do, and I heard this in a song by Randy Newman, is send ships to Africa and the captain of the ship would be trying to entice the Africans to come with them by saying, "In America you'll get food to eat, don't have to run through the jungle and scuff up your feet." It's a highly educational song! I think it's called Sail Away, you should check it out on youtubes or whatever. Anyway once they got the Africans back to America they was all making them slaves. They was feeding them and giving them shoes tho so the ship Captain was not exactly lieing. Anyways cos all the slaves was black they is calling this "Racisms". What I am saying in my preceeding posts which was causing some confusions, is while we is just abusing Punch and Goolies, who is both black, we is subject to similar accusations of racisms, but now we is also starting to lay abuses equally on Hammonds and Fontes and De Ridders these accusations of racisms will probably hold less water or whatever! I think it's called Equality of Abuses. If you need any more, ask Randy Newman!
teacher Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 I'm not his biggest fan however I'm willing to give him a chance as long as he shows he wants to be here. St_Tel49 Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 I bet you a charity tenner he's gone by the end of deadline day. I'll take that bet - if I win I nominate the MacMillan Cancer Charity. Name yours.

Bearsy Posted 5 August, 2012 Posted 5 August, 2012 I'm convinced bearsy runs all his posts through google translate with the language set to 'LSD'. Yeah that one was a bit off the wall innit! Something bout when people ask me to explain myself always makes me want to write nonsenses! I guess it's the same as at work when I know someone is getting irritated by me singing or whatever I always start singing even louder! I'm like a sadist!
