Lets hope they get this right. Not at all convinced on Ramirez, Slyne, Jay Rod and Steven Davidson. FFS - our Recruitment Department makes Office Angels look good.

Hopefully our recruitment department can at least get the names of the players correct.

You are also probably mistaken if you think we are looking for a CB or CBs to replace what we already have, our problem in this area is as much about options as quality per se. Our only real option at the moment if Jos or Jose was injured (or suspended) seems to be Seaborns, because NA didn't even consider Stephens for last night let alone the PL.

Im not great with names... anyway...surely we should be looking to improve on the quality as much as adding options. Many on here have written Fonte off so no point bringing in someone who is no better thn him surely? Of course you need options, but I think msot are concerend about the quality of the current pairing as well.

I know for a fact that Adkins was accidently reminded only last week that we need a new CB when his Microsoft Office Outlook sent him an old Calendar reminder from last January.

Ramirez wears 10 for Bologna and Uruguay...in talks to sign rumours been offered 10 shirt

 

Mayuka wore 24 for Young Boys...signed - will wear 24

 

Yoshida wears 3 for VVV...in talks to sign...will he wear 3, 15 or 17 I wonder

 

Seems well planned to me...need to find a 15 & 17 - Chamberlain and Nani?

 

In addition to Clyne, Davis and Jay Rod who all retained their numbers from last season at their respective clubs.

Probably because he hasn't trained with the team for several months. He's been injured for about a year, has a long term contract with Ajax and before his injury he was followed by Champions League contenders. I'll eat one of my Saints shirts if he signs for us this transferwindow.

Martini - whats your opinion on Yoshida? Seen much of him? Ive heard mixed reviews from in Holland?

Can't say I've seen that much of him. I live in Sweden now and even though I still follow Ajax as my favourite team. I watch almost all Ajax match but very few matches not featuring them. From the matches against Ajax I'm not too impressed but its really difficult to judge him in those kind of matches. I've seen him in the Dutch version of MOTD highlights a bit more often and he is the best player on that team together with Wildschut.

Looks like its going to be a busy 48 odd hours.

 

Goodness me I hope this quote is correct! It'd be one of the best finishes to a transfer window for Saints in memory. Yes people should say it should have been done earlier in the summer, but I wonder just how many of these players we're signing were available earlier, certainly for the right price when teams become desperate for cash.

 

Yoshida, Ramirez and 3 others, I assume doesn't include Mayuka. So we can only speculate who the other 3 will be. I'd assume another centre back, a left back and another keeper? Perhaps Biglia instead of a keeper? I hope we do sign another keeper, more because I worry about Davis coping this season, not because I think Gazzaniga won't step up. (I haven't yet seen him to judge.)

That's a lot ofaccommodation to find for the housing department. No wonder these deals take such a long time. Then there's pampering to partners, in laws and schooling for the off breeds.

 

When does this window close? How it would have been simpler had this all been done a couple of months ago.

That's "this afternoon" (when they wrote it) Saints are poised to sign in the next 24 hours. So within 24 hours of the afternoon in question.
