Whatever happened to Pav and Rulebook Ric, they were a part of the 'in' gang from what I remember. Also that copper, think he was a gay, can't remember his name now.

and the little chinese fella. Cant remember his name, they were all mates with Mindy and Kurlie who Steve Grant was desperate to bang.

I'd love to help out here, but I haven't seen any of them since the Liebherr Cup. ;)

Wasn't Kurlie the bird with her tits out in the S4E posters gallery? She did have something about her so can see why Steve lusted (unsuccessfully) over her.

She was/is quite fit. Slim, blonde hair, she was in the Alex with her mates after the Wallsall game when we were in there.

Yeah I know what she looks like (the picture in the gallery had the face cut off). Imagine she was impressed with our valiant singing efforts in there.

no women could fail to be impressed by such good looking, charismatic, well dressed lads.

S4E with Um Pahars' pics of birds he met in saints training shirts, St Steve's porn links, the break away Lungs Forever after some banning incident (I think), and lots of plugging of other sites such as Painted Cow and their jailbait page.

And the days of superfan Javi being ripped apart for various things.

Ah those Halcyon days.

Tommac,

Saint David/LLS in the takeover threads,

Richard Chorley's OPEN LETTERS!!,

Wilde himself posting on here,

Lowe/Crouch employing PR plants to post on here

Ha ha, I do remember that, quality! Keef's turnaround from club critic to complete lapdog following the pre-season tour was remarkable, he started banning people left right and centre who brought it up.

Is that the guy who had his phone line cut?

They used to think they were S4E Royalty.

Can't comment on pav, but Ric certainly didn't think that... there were obviously people who knew Keith well, and a lot of either were friends already or made new friends through S4E. If that makes anyone part of an 'in' gang (lol) then so be it. There's no doubt that if you someone off away from a forum, it's easier to interpret their posts and you know their sense of humour.

As I said on another thread, the forums have changed over the years. I happily admit that I took it all way too seriously early on, and Paul Allen and Tyler and co got their moneys worth from me. MLG and others are probably the 'new generation' of that. I still think it's a bit sad that people get so much enjoyment purely from winding others up but I just let it go nowadays.

Key thing has always been the reason *why* you use a 'mong board'. Funnily enough, a lot of people like to discuss Saints stuff fairly seriously. Others, like most of you lot from the 'Golden Era', may comment on things a bit but otherwise just have a laugh. The two don't mix too well sometimes, hence the resulting issues.

Anyway, life's too short to worry about it all really. Threads like this seem to show who takes it more seriously nowadays anyway, while many of the people mentioned have buggered off and got a life. Obviously not me though. ;)

They are still about ;)

Personally i use mong boards for two reasons, for a laugh and to break up the day at work and it proves how much i know and how superior i am to the average person.

I don't remember S4E being any busier than here, if anything it was quieter. It was very clicky though, maybe those who remember "how good it used to be" are just missing being in the click.

I made up the Delgado song on S4E (I used to post as Benali's left boot) and it was sung against Man Utd after his overhead effort - my claim to fame. The song I made for Steve De Ridder, I thought was pretty decent on here it never caught on. Therefore obviously S4E was much better than this place, the people were much friendlier blah blah bullsh!t.

Some people on here do seem more obsessed with keeping threads bang on topic though. How many replies can you get to a thread about new bucket seats have been installed that are all on topic? Conversations develop in the real world, on here that is illegal.

He used to crack me up. Used to think he was Saints No.1 fan because he made a few DVD's and the like. Then would go mental when he never got a ticket for the big games over fans that had actually attended games.

Ha ha, the Javi Saga (one of many). Didn't he roofie Saf and another kid and take them down to Plymouth? Also Cabbage face, and most importantly, Mao Cap. The latter, along with Crab lungs and myself, were accused of being Lowe plants, to the degree that one chap told me he had proof, had my bank details, and knew where I worked/lived, and I was in 'for a world of trouble'. Ironically enough, due to KEEEFS status as a bought bitch at the time, he didn't see anything wrong with it. I wonder if his stance on such matters changed later?

Remember the launch of TSA? Steve Grant and a few others promoted it I think, with teasers such as "its coming.....", "not long now...." etc etc, and then it fell flat on its face amongst a barrage of fan outrage and ambivalence upon its launch.

True Saints Association, was that like Crouchies Army?

Never seen again after his infamous statue commentary, what a classic that was.

Dave Ford, chairman of the Ted Bates Trust, which commissioned the project and shared the cost with the club, said: "Ian has done a tremendous job. It's very rare I'm lost for words but I saw the statue last week and it's awesome - a tremendous tribute to a great man.

"Fans have waited a long time for this and it's fantastic."

another classic.

Saints Trust Chairman Steve Godwin:

“The purchase of 1885 shares in Southampton Leisure Holdings by the Saints Trust is a major step forward for all fans of Southampton Football Club. It gives the average fan on the terrace a voice in the way the club is run. Right now that voice is only a whisper but in time it will grow to be roar”.

I think it is quite clear...despite all the very best intentions, the "fan on the board" at SFC (or as close as it was) was a complete disaster

Predictably yes. Unfortunately we still had to ensure the non-stop bickering and jostling for position from the usual idiots to be the chosen one. I can't wait to see if the Skates can get their fan on the board, after the initial euphoria dies down it'll be utterly hilarious to watch them implode.
