TopGun Posted 3 August, 2012 Share Posted 3 August, 2012 Rebekah Brooks charged by the Met. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19105197 Interesting piece below on all the main players. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12296392 Looks to me like they are all trying to claim their own innocence despite the ongoing forensic computer investigations that may implicate pretty much all of them eventually. However, not guilty until proved etc! Interesting times ahead for Mr Cameron.

Whitey Grandad Posted 3 August, 2012 Share Posted 3 August, 2012 An intensely dislikeable woman. Indeed, but I can't really see what all the fuss is about. They call it phone hacking but anyone with a brain must realise that these voicemail systems are virtually public documents.
JackanorySFC Posted 3 August, 2012 Share Posted 3 August, 2012 An intensely dislikeable woman. Funnily enough, anyone that ever meets her thinks (thought) exactly the opposite, hence how well her career progressed. Probably one of the (if not the) best networkers around. I've met her a few times, thought she was incredibly sharp and switched on, passionate about issues important to her (she really believed in "Sarah's Law") also had a habit of making everyone she spoke to feel incredibly important. Probably similar to a female Tony Blair? Not defending her, I knew her former PA Cheryl pretty well through her son (also an NI staffer) and I think it's bang out of order that she got dragged into it, if she is proven guilty then rightly she should have the book thrown at her. Viking Warrior Posted 3 August, 2012 Share Posted 3 August, 2012 Im not defending her but the police and CPS have a nasty habit at chomping at the bit in regards these type of cases. Also the BBC are enjoying it as they think they are whiter than white. There will be major repercussions if they are found innocent . I predict wholesale changes to the police and and CPS roles if this gets thrown out. Just think of the cost to the taxpayer. There is a case up in Orkney that clearly has serious questions on the tainted evidence that was produced. I might start a new thread on here about it. Strange how the police in the Orkney case were out celebrating bg time and then almost immediatley got retired on very healthy pensions.

Shes a ginge with a typical ginge temper. She put Ross Kemp (he of the part-time Easter, part-time SAS fame) in hospital, FFS. Rupert Lowe has the ability to be charming when it suits him too...
