On-topic, we will sign a couple of players next week. Heard a rumor that we will bring in a centre back on loan and a winger next week. My source wouldn't reveal any names, and can usually be wrong on these things. I'm more worried about Rickie Lambert's fitness for the new season.

I can't complain much so far. We've done what we've never done and signed players early in the summer. NA said when interviewed by C5 that we would make 1 or 2 more signings. Hopefully one of those will be a big name to put us on the map and keep our current players on their toes.

Southampton are attempting an audacious move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards believed to be 9 million. His agent is dealing with the deal as he is currently with Team GB, he is understood to be looking for first team football with Man City bringing in more players this summer. Tottenham and Liverpool are also interested but have yet to put a bid in.
