Clyne is going to be a regular starter so he's going to need a song. Let's look at our options:

a) Sloop John B

b) Something by the Smiths or the Roses to show how cool we are as a fan base

c)

- with 'Nathaniel Clyne' instead of the chorus. Get Gary Crosby in a jewelled jumpsuit to lead it. And maybe leaving out the bit about touching me, touching you.

d) Nathaniel Clyne, clap clap clap clap - why change a winning formula

Any others?

How about when Morgan mounts him piggy back stylee following Clyne's debut goal we sing:

"Frog on the Clyne, he's all mine all mine. Frog on the Clyne he's all mine!"

Anything using "Nathaniel Clyne" instead of "Fog on the Tyne" should be considered genius. I think it's a little before the board-bangers' time though.

Hmmm, given the new kit maybe it should be Red, Red Clyne?

Then anyone who's got their knickers in a twist about the lack of stripes could boo ferociously, and we could have a big fight amongst ourselves. That could work.

Oh goody, another thread where everyone moans about our lack of chants instead of actually coming up with anything themselves.

Fwiw, the best option would be "Clyne, Clyne will tear you apart again". IMO of course.

Big fan of Joy Division so love this tune. Not too sure about it for Clyne. It works for Giggs as he has been tearing defences apart for years so the again bit works. For Clyne, it is his prem debut so... Maybe I am looking into it too deeply as it is just bloody football song after all.

Best so far though.

That's pretty good too.

For the Boxing Day fixture, to this tune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjmGbI-Mnys:

Nathaniel Clyne

Up the right touchline

Hear us singing

Christian rhyme

With logs on the fire

Gifts on the tree

We got him at tribunal

For an undisclosed fee

Then we all join hands and sway in time, with a choirboy doing a haunting solo in harmony over the top.

Same tune, I was going with "Dogging with Clyne is so fine, so fine, Dogging with Clyne is so fine."... following his early season exploits in the New Forest.

"Nathaniel Clyne, good times never felt so good,

I am inclined, to believe they never would...."

Tune of Sweet Caroline, lyrics altered.

Here's what I posted on July 13.

Obviously needs a bit of work.

To the tune of Red Red Wine:

Nathaniel Clyne,

So good you can see,

You know you're not alone,

In tearing apart,

Fratton Park.

To the tune of Miss American Pie

Clyne, Clyne, Nathaniel Clyne

He runs down the line,

He does it all the time,

And the southampton boys will be drinking all night....Singing you are my Nathaniel Clyne, you are my Nathaniel Clyne.

To the tune of 'Just Can't get Enough'

He Came from Crystal Palace and barely cost a dime

Our Nathaniel Clyne, Our Nathaniel Clyne

He Get the ball he takes the p*ss he does it all the time.

Our Nathaniel Clyne, Our Nathaniel Clyne

And when you see him surging down the right, he's mighty fine he's our Nathaniel....

Do-do, do. do. dooo do do..... etc....

Because you're mine; Nathaniel Clyne.

brilliant. Love that tune.

Keep a close watch on this lad of mine

Keep your eyes wide open all the time

At both ends, he's up and down the line

Because you're mine; Nathaniel Clyne
