This Charming Man Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 I'll have to give that a read when I get home. Too much information to take on-board whilst at work.
Saint Billy Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Perhaps one of these links will actually one day result in us getting someone.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Well done, a 3 day old article and player that has already been covered in the Rumour Thread.
buctootim Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 I'll have to give that a read when I get home. Too much information to take on-board whilst at work. You should go on the mobile site. Its three pixels and a comma
Bearsy Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Bit unusual to have both first name and second name double barrelled innit! New club record?
SteveStone Posted 30 July, 2012 Author Posted 30 July, 2012 I'll have to give that a read when I get home. Too much information to take on-board whilst at work. Certainly very well researched. Who is he anyway anyone heard of him?
SteveStone Posted 30 July, 2012 Author Posted 30 July, 2012 Well done, a 3 day old article and player that has already been covered in the Rumour Thread. Can't be arsed trawling through a 90-odd page thread or whatever it is now.
Minty Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Well done, a 3 day old article and player that has already been covered in the Rumour Thread. I know this has been done to death previously, but I for one don't have time to trawl through that ridiculously long thread to keep up to date with what articles are out there, so am quite happy to see it posted separately. So I don't think your sarcastic 'well done' is really called for. I did suggest a closed sticky post be kept up to date with all links to articles such as this, like we used to have in previous seasons, but evidently that hasn't happened this year which is a shame. Anyway, back to the player... an interesting one, and we know that we are looking for a CB so who knows.
Saint Garrett Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Supposed to have had a 7m euro bid rejected for him over the weekend for those who havent read the HCDAJFU thread. Big uncompromising CB who plays for Rennes. Apparently AC Milan are also interested and he favours a move there.
St.Patrik Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 But AC Milan are Broke - they sell everything they can.....But perhaps £7mill is peanuts for them?
goneawol Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Can't be arsed trawling through a 90-odd page thread or whatever it is now. The thread could do with a search function
dune Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Can't be arsed trawling through a 90-odd page thread or whatever it is now. This. Threads like that and the Pompey takeover thread aren't what everyone wants.

Could be hard to entice him here over them if that's the case.
H Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 This. Threads like that and the Pompey takeover thread aren't what everyone wants. I like the idea too ... but would you really be able to resist the temptation to clog up the new threads with YouTube links and the like?
beavis17 Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 But AC Milan are Broke - they sell everything they can.....But perhaps £7mill is peanuts for them? They've just made £50-odd million from selling Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic to PSG! If it's true that Milan are looking at this guy to replace Silva it suggests he is very good!
rshephard3 Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Do we need a 50,000 seat stadium to start attracting such players? Noone has discussed the possibility of this.. ?
SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 http://www.clubcall.com/le-championnat/kana-biyik-flattered-by-interest-1448701.html - a bit more detail (but not much!). He doesn't sound that interested and is contracted until 2015 so this one looks a bit of a non-starter.
The Kraken Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Do we need a 50,000 seat stadium to start attracting such players? Noone has discussed the possibility of this.. I think if this lad is turning us down with the promise of a 50,000 seat stadium on the horizon, perhaps we should be looking at making it 60,000 or 70,000.
Jonnyboy Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 ,Don't AC Milan have a decent training ground? Could be hard to entice him here over them if that's the case. Cat A?
suewhistle Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 I'll have to give that a read when I get home. Too much information to take on-board whilst at work. Gotta luv The Sun, half the article consists of his name!
VectisSaint Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Well done, a 3 day old article and player that has already been covered in the Rumour Thread. But at least they have now corrected the typo, previously he was a Cameron defender, I was concerned we were looking to sign Nick Clegg.
Turkish Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Don't AC Milan have a decent training ground? Could be hard to entice him here over them if that's the case. Show him the new pitchside red felt and let him have a go on the barcode scanners. That'll seal the deal.
The9 Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 (edited) I'm not being funny, but that's barely even an article. Is he Andre Kana-Biyik's son, from the Cameroon World Cup side of 1990 ? Edited 30 July, 2012 by The9 Yes he is, Wiki says so.
The9 Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 (edited) Show him the new pitchside red felt and let him have a go on the barcode scanners. That'll seal the deal. I reckon setting him up with a crash test dummy in an Argentina kit and blonde wig would probably do it. 2mins 44 here - bit of a harsh one (out of context), though Kana-Biyik had already been sent off before the legendary 89th minute triple assault on Caniggia which ended with a red for Massing. [video=youtube;lpQ_JTkm-u4] Nice to hear Brian Moore calling Cameroon's cynical fouling "happy-go-lucky" and Ron Atkinson on co-commentary. Edited 30 July, 2012 by The9
Pat from Poole Posted 30 July, 2012 Posted 30 July, 2012 Genius. The tackle by Massing is possibly the funniest foul of all-time. Made even better by the look of innocence immediately afterwards. Thanks for that Scott.
