Sunday League football - Southampton

As I'm going to be down this way for the foreseeable future, I'm looking to get back into playing football on Sunday's. Does anyone know how to go about joining a local side? A quick Google search shows there are leagues up and running, but not too much information on those clubs in need of players. I'm a left-midfielder primarily, but have played upfront in the past as well. Any help greatly appreciated!

I run a team in the Winchester and District League. We are always on the lookout for new players and are currently looking for a striker primarily. I'm not sure if this would be too far out of your way or not, but if you're interested, let me know.

Not ruling anything out at this point! Definitely of interest, happy to travel to Winchester as not too far for me. What sort of standard is it? Keen to find out more.

We're Winchester division 2 in 2nd season. We just missed out on promotion last season by a couple of points but are ready to have a huge push this time around. We're a good bunch, mixture of youth and experience. We train on Tuesday's at Eversley Park in Kingsworthy on our home pitch and social club. Kicks off at 6:45 if you're interested in seeing what we're all about.

if your looking for Southampton there are two leagues

CSSFL and Southampton and district

what standard are you looking for?

if you contact Hazel Andrews (80438371) for City of Southampton she will contact all teams and advise of your availability, clubs will then contact you.

 

i run a senior league team if you are that standard or can put you in touch with others

I'm OK. No world-beater, but not bad. I don't really know what the standard for the Senior League is so hard to comment.
