dune Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 Gemma coming up in the Judo final next watched by David Cameron and some Russian bloke.
alpine_saint Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 Murray to play Djokovic. Oh well............
dune Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 BBC doing a Saints score with the medals table... Right up there now (don't count the yanks or china) with our sights firmly set on 3rd.....
Saintandy666 Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 Murray to play Djokovic. Oh well............ I wouldn't be so 'oh well'. It's over 3 sets, so anything can happen. It makes it much more open and Murray can beat any of the top 3 over 3 sets. it's over 5 where he has struggled even if he is getting much closer. And I also think Murray really really wants this.
alpine_saint Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 Right up there now (don't count the yanks or china) with our sights firmly set on 3rd..... S. Korea now on 7 golds. Bloody good archers
Minty Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 5th I think. Ahead of North Korea. Otherwise known as 'Naughty Korea'! (from the 'Metro of Brisbane' newspaper):
sussexsaint Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 The coverage the BBC are offering over all formats is absolutely excellent

Thedelldays Posted 2 August, 2012 Author Posted 2 August, 2012 Pendleton breaks world record! This velodrome is supposed to be the fastest/best track and venue in the world
Saintandy666 Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 No shame in silver. She did incredibly well to get to the final.

CB Saint Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 Why do we excel at sports where you sit down - equestrian, cycling, sailing, rowing
Minty Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 This thread has held up so far... it would be really nice if, out of respect for our Olympians, it didn't descend into unnecessary comments. British Mens Team Sprint team about to go in the heat with Germany.
Thedelldays Posted 2 August, 2012 Author Posted 2 August, 2012 not the best of starts to men track racing lol
JackFrost Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 Why do we excel at sports where you sit down - equestrian, cycling, sailing, rowing I remember Frankie Boyle saying something along the lines of "trust the Brits to be so good at rowing, a sport where you go backwards"
Thedelldays Posted 2 August, 2012 Author Posted 2 August, 2012 GB are through Hoy destroyed them on the last lap
Saintandy666 Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 GB are through Hoy destroyed them on the last lap It wasn't Hoy on the final lap!
dune Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 It wasn't Hoy on the final lap! Thedelldays won't be amused.
Minty Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 It wasn't Hoy on the final lap! Was it not? BBC live text says it was Hindes, Kenny then Hoy.
Thedelldays Posted 2 August, 2012 Author Posted 2 August, 2012 It wasn't Hoy on the final lap! just going what the BBC have just told me
dune Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 Was it not? BBC live text says it was Hindes, Kenny then Hoy. If Andy says it wasn't then it wasn't. OK.
Minty Posted 2 August, 2012 Posted 2 August, 2012 just going what the BBC have just told me Indeed, just to back you up, the Beeb said: Germany make a lighting start but Jason Kenny and Sir Chris Hoy then power through to win in a time of 43.065.
Thedelldays Posted 2 August, 2012 Author Posted 2 August, 2012 Pendleton and her buddy have been disqualified Nice one
