hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Fair play to Gary Barlow after his daughter and all that.
Ken Tone Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 How do they avoid feedback with a massive sound system like this, in the round too?
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Bit of a pointless segment this bit. Thought it was over?
Lets B Avenue Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I wish it would end. Ive got 3 days worth of the Filth takeover saga to catch up on. Are they toast yet?
Ken Tone Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Why didn't the Who play instead of the kaiser chiefs?
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 The Who so much better than other aging bands. Heroes.
doubleonothing Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 They've still got it. Hope Macca's listening.
Saintandy666 Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Why didn't the Who play instead of the kaiser chiefs? You need the Who to close an event like this! You can't just shove them in the middle!
Ken Tone Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Yes! No. It's the Who. Yes are quite different.
SB Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Not a bad close to a fantastic Olympics, dragged abit in parts. Got to laugh at some of you posting throughout the ceremony, don't you have wives, friends,family..
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I would pay to watch the Who any day of the week. Utter legends.
Colinjb Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Not a bad close to a fantastic Olympics, dragged abit in parts. Got to laugh at some of you posting throughout the ceremony, don't you have wives, friends,family.. I think the answer is obvious!
Katalinic Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Not a bad close to a fantastic Olympics, dragged abit in parts. Got to laugh at some of you posting throughout the ceremony, don't you have wives, friends,family.. Yes but my wife isn't that interested in knowing how I'd like to ruin Jessie J
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Amazing. The Who were phenomenal. Cracking ending. Grade upgraded to a B because I'm starting to forget about Brand.
LVSaint Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 (edited) I can see them sneaking out. Stratford station is going to be fun. Magnificent views of the stadium throughout. Good job. Edited 12 August, 2012 by LVSaint
Turkish Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Does anyone else think Roger Daltry looks like like an old Glen Cockerill?
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 What a shame they didn't have more like the ending which was a triumph.
SB Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Yes but my wife isn't that interested in knowing how I'd like to ruin Jessie J If saintsweb had a 'like' button..
The Kraken Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 It saddens me to think of some of the rampaging orgies that will soon be kicking off in the athletes village.
scotty Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Does anyone else think Roger Daltry looks like like an old Glen Cockerill? Why, did he get his jaw broken by a punch from behind?
Thedelldays Posted 12 August, 2012 Author Posted 12 August, 2012 It saddens me to think of some of the rampaging orgies that will soon be kicking off in the athletes village. I bet it gets proper nawty tonight.
LGTL Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Ah well, back to rain, X Factor and the football season then.
dubai_phil Posted 13 August, 2012 Posted 13 August, 2012 James Pearce @Pearcesport During Opening Ceremony I sensed nervousness about what rest of world would make of us. 17 days later, confidence not to care any more Lol today at the tales of Jounos getting invites to the Team GB after party & stories of trying to find taxis at 5am in Stratford

This Charming Man Posted 13 August, 2012 Posted 13 August, 2012 Why was Jessie J given such a prominent role in proceedings? Had we blown the budget on the opening ceremony?
Ohio Saint Posted 13 August, 2012 Posted 13 August, 2012 Why was Jessie J given such a prominent role in proceedings? Had we blown the budget on the opening ceremony? Er, because we would all like to do her?
dubai_phil Posted 13 August, 2012 Posted 13 August, 2012 Here is the video they missed out last night My mate I sat in the deck chair with the wig on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYtpL5YhWOQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player They did show it on Sky News before the Ceremony and it's totally gone viral today and is everywhere. Respect to everyone who took part & it was very well put together. Certainly easier to believe Jessica is actually singing as opposed to Russell Bland last night
