Thedelldays Posted 12 August, 2012 Author Posted 12 August, 2012 At least Jessie J can sing. I any sane straight man would ruin her. Which is a bonus
Katalinic Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 At least Jessie J can sing. I any sane straight man would ruin her. Which is a bonus I dunno, I always get the impression she'd give an overly aggressive critique of my performance.
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 This bit is good. When they concentrate on people with talent who sing not bad songs and know how to get a crowd going its decent. When they hark back to old bands who mime or perform terribly then it has been very poor. Even madness were a big let down.
Jonnyboy Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Would do those policewomen though. Definite highlight.
washsaint Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 If this was a celebration of Brit music, why the hell have they not got New Order, Happy Mondays, Stone Roses, Blur (in person). Shocking, truly shocking. Last night of the Proms would have been better than this S***e.

When they hark back to old bands who mime or perform terribly then it has been very poor. Even madness were a big let down. Agree. This lot can actually sing.

Shocking, truly shocking. Last night of the Proms would have been better than this S***e. Yep. No one yet who I would actually want to listen to.

SO16_Saint Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I wonder who got to sew the sequins into Jessie's leotard.
Thedelldays Posted 12 August, 2012 Author Posted 12 August, 2012 This. I mean, One Direction FFS. 1 direction and Russell brand murdering a Beatles song FFS
Saintandy666 Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 This. I mean, One Direction FFS. I dislike One Direction, but it isn't unfair they were there. They have sold a ridiculous amount of records.
Ken Tone Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 This bit is good. When they concentrate on people with talent who sing not bad songs and know how to get a crowd going its decent. When they hark back to old bands who mime or perform terribly then it has been very poor. Even madness were a big let down. They got the balance all wrong for madness tbf.
Katalinic Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 1 direction and Russell brand murdering a Beatles song FFS I've tried to wipe the Russell Brand thing from my memory already.
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I dislike One Direction, but it isn't unfair they were there. They have sold a ridiculous amount of records. You have every living British artist to choose from and you pick the latest fad that will be gone once they hit puberty? FFS...
Katalinic Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I dislike One Direction, but it isn't unfair they were there. They have sold a ridiculous amount of records. British music icons though, really?
dubai_phil Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 We're dancing Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I've tried to wipe the Russell Brand thing from my memory already. I keep remembering it again. That was by far the worst bit.
CB Fry Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 If this was a celebration of Brit music, why the hell have they not got New Order, Happy Mondays, Stone Roses, Blur (in person). Shocking, truly shocking. Last night of the Proms would have been better than this S***e. They did cover that at the opening ceremony TBF. Decent tribute to Bee Gees. And agree with TDD on Jessie J. Would obliterate it.
Saintandy666 Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 British music icons though, really? Not yet. I fear they might become that though if their popularity continues.
Thedelldays Posted 12 August, 2012 Author Posted 12 August, 2012 I've tried to wipe the Russell Brand thing from my memory already. Sorry
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 That was definitely the highlight so far. Spice girls now?
Ken Tone Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Any minute now it'll be Boris miming to 'I am the walrus', then 'Honky Tonk woman'
Turkish Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 (edited) Not yet. I fear they might become that though if their popularity continues. They won't. In two or three years they'd have disappeared back up their own a*seholes. Edited 12 August, 2012 by Turkish
Jonnyboy Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I dunno, I always get the impression she'd give an overly aggressive critique of my performance. tbf she shouldnt be able to talk afterwards.
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Disappointing Geri isn't wearing the dress.
Thedelldays Posted 12 August, 2012 Author Posted 12 August, 2012 Like em or not. Spice girls were massive. So can see why they are there
Katalinic Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I never thought I'd be pleased to see the Spice Girls. Thanks a lot Russell Brand.
doubleonothing Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I'm sorry this really is pretty dire so far. Russell brand FFS. Not a great advert for Britain. Maybe I'm getting old but what the hell are tonne tempeh and taio cruz on about.
Give it to Ron Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I never thought I'd be pleased to see the Spice Girls. Thanks a lot Russell Brand. Quick drive off now !
Lighthouse Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Disappointing Geri isn't wearing the dress. I thought that would have been a certainty.
Thedelldays Posted 12 August, 2012 Author Posted 12 August, 2012 Spice girls are alright. For what they do
CB Fry Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Mel B. Bunton. Geri. Beckham. Mel C. Actually. Maybe not bother with the scouse one.
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I'd still love to smash Baby spice. Always and forever.
washsaint Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Love this from the BBC.... BBC journalist Matt Roberts is no fan of what's on offer: At least Mo Farah can get 10K away from there in 27 and a half minutes This lot were not talented first time round and now is even worse...scragg end. World will be laughing at us after this s***e
Ken Tone Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 How old are the Spice Girls now? Well they've got zimmer frames on top of those taxis
SO16_Saint Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 I'd still love to smash Baby spice. I got mocked for saying that by my mates back in the day
hypochondriac Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 Second half been much better. Who is this guy doing wonderwall? Edit whoops Liam! Didn't know who beady eye was.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 12 August, 2012 Posted 12 August, 2012 The Spice Girls shouldve been on earlier, but someone thought Posh Spice was a javilian and locked her in the equiptment cupboard.
