dune Posted 4 August, 2012 Share Posted 4 August, 2012 It is incredible, but I suppose it's the way to do it. Target the sports you are good at. All the US medals have been in swimming. The Chinese have a decent spread. Be interesting to see how the Chinese do on the track. Can't seem them being much cop with their little legs. Saintandy666 Posted 4 August, 2012 Share Posted 4 August, 2012 China had 2 bronzes in Athletics in 2008 and that was it. I think the USA can win this Olympics.

Saintandy666 Posted 4 August, 2012 Share Posted 4 August, 2012 Good. I like Robson. Hope they win. Could be tough on him physically. I think the mixed doubles is before the singles which shouldn't stress him too much, but I think the final with Federer is 5 sets. We shall see. It'd be incredible if he could pull off 2 golds. hypochondriac Posted 4 August, 2012 Share Posted 4 August, 2012 If he gets through this, I really feel he can beat Federer over 3 sets. He seems like a man on a mission. Just realised it is over 5 sets. Have to favour Roger in that scenario.
Saintandy666 Posted 4 August, 2012 Share Posted 4 August, 2012 Just realised it is over 5 sets. Have to favour Roger in that scenario. Yer, I forgot about that. Will perhaps favour Federer. It all depends on whether it is under roof or not and whether Murray is tired from the Mixed Doubles. I suspect he won't be tired for the Mixed Doubles because it is basically just a stroll for the top players used to playing singles. We shall see. Anything can happen. Colinjb Posted 4 August, 2012 Share Posted 4 August, 2012 Is it me or is the team GB football team completely average? This. After watching South Korea in Cov last Sunday it was clear that they are a capable side. Frankly, to get this far owes more to Jack Butland's individual performance v Uruguay then anything about the team' itself.

The Cat Posted 4 August, 2012 Share Posted 4 August, 2012 Bracing myself for the white knuckle ride of the 10000m. Well done to Rutherford. Quality win. Right, I'll say it. Isn't the amount of hyperbole surrounding Ennis just a but too much? Yes she's clearly good and has achieved something amazing, but then so have all the gold medal winners and the media really do seem to go over the top about her. If she was a munter there's no way they'd bang on about her quite so much.
