waggy Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 Not sure if these boyz have been mentioned on here before but according to my eldest lad who lives in Basingstoke they are due to play a gig in the Wheatsheaf, Basingstoke and the landlord is a Skate fan. Could be interesting if they play this number.......
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 saw this band in the Halfway in Chandlers Ford a couple of weeks back - excellent

West End Saint Posted 27 July, 2012 Posted 27 July, 2012 I saw them at the lap stone season before last after the Swindon game I thought they were great
Turkish Posted 27 July, 2012 Posted 27 July, 2012 Are these the ones that play in the Angel after every home game? Very good if so.

Tokyo-Saint Posted 29 July, 2012 Posted 29 July, 2012 This is the kind of thing we should have played after the final whistle against Cov, not bloody chelsea Chelsea, a song about an ex stripper girlfriend by a Scotish band. As for the 80s crap...

manji Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 Back in 1979 I saw Specials Madness and The Selector play a gig together in Bournemouth. So I think I am in a position to say thats bloody awful.
Jonnyboy Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 Back in 1979 I saw Specials Madness and The Selector play a gig together in Bournemouth. So I think I am in a position to say thats bloody awful. Fair comment.

Puts you in position to say f##k all about the band in question in this thread. #clueless

Yep I saw the Jam back in 1979 at Bracknell sport centre and they were not that great to be honest in thoses days though bit better than Kenny how kept on doing the bump had to be there !
Delboy Dave Posted 20 September, 2012 Posted 20 September, 2012 That song is not good. Imagine if the words were about Pompy or anyone else, you lot would be laughing your heads off! Embarrassing

Fan The Flames Posted 20 September, 2012 Posted 20 September, 2012 #prat Anyone can say anything they want about anything. Its called an opinion!! Thats right but you don't need to have seen some band back in the day to be allowed an opinion. Whilst its no classic, its about the club I love therefore is great in my book.
kpturner Posted 20 September, 2012 Posted 20 September, 2012 It kinda catchy in a cheesy sort of way.
Rut Posted 20 September, 2012 Posted 20 September, 2012 Blah-di-blah aside - whatever the music then fair play to them for nailing their colours to the the mast. Do they play many gigs in PO postcodes? Must result in a few 'scummerings' since that song came out.

Bloody hell if I had to like every band that supports The Saints I would have to like ****ing Coldplay and the Novatones. Two ****e bands at different ends of a very mediocre line.
liebherr driver Posted 20 September, 2012 Posted 20 September, 2012 Yeah, but you'd still be an utter cock
