Wake up and smell the coffee time? Or is it a case of "we're gonna storm the Prem"?

Mmm, if they put out a full-strength team (unlikely) I think it's the former. I suspect though we'll actually give them a good game and come away thinking things are looking OK. I hope we get to see Davis, Rodrigues, Clyne and Gazza. I think the club missed a trick not revealing a new signing at the game though - might have got some of the plastics along.

There is a stream request thread on the overseas Saints page. I don't think C5 are streaming it (although I know they are broadcasting it). So, any streams you're aware of?

Ajax Line-up: Vermeer; Van Rhijn, Alderweireld, Blind, Dijks; Anita, Jong, Janssen; Özbiliz, Sigthorsson, Boerrigter/Fischer

I think I've only heard of Anita, Alderweireld and Jong.

Just set the reminder on the TV to automatically switch over.

Seems quote weird to see us being in the Channel 5 section of the TV guide (let alone on domestic TV)

Looking forward to this a lot now.

Its a very young team (I think the only players over 23 are Vermeer and Janssen) but very talented. Ajax are weakest at LB and CB (left side).

No Christian Eriksen?

Eriksen and vd Wiel only started training this week after the EURO's so I guess they're not really match-fit. I would think they get some playing time in the second half.

We'll beat that team

I wouldn't be too sure, I have split loyalties with my favourite team in the Netherlands being Ajax but this wil be a close match. Even with this line-up for Ajax.

Is it me or does the commentary on the games sound like the guy is sat in a toilet?

Good starting XI, bar JWP for Davis it's probably our strongest team at the moment. Looking forward to seeing Gazza, Shaw and Chambers off the bench.

JWP looks likely to start the Man City game I reckon given the amount of game time he's been given, that and the fact he always seems to be included in our 'strongest' line ups.

Perhaps, though the fact that Cork is with the Olympics and Davis is injured may have something to do with it.

He is filling the place of Steven Davis and Jack Cork at the moment in their absense. I think Davis will start the Man City game.

Ward-Prowse does appear to be above Hammond and Chaplow in the pecking order though.

Assuming Davis is fit of course, slightly worrying that even if he does regain full fitness he won't have had any game time with the team. If no Davis, WP to start I think.

Davis is in training and we have 3 friendlies after today for him to play in. We also will have Jack Cork back from the Olympics. Team GB probably won't make the final so he could be back in time to be ready for Man City.

if that happens we'll get slaughtered, u need to pack the midfield to stop man city from playing the 451 formation would suit us alot better as we have a strong centre midfield in Morgan, Cork and either Davis/JWP, we should of played something similar today unless Jrod is playing out wide left but then i fear Guly being on the right where isn't that good there. But lets see what happens..coyr.

It appears we're playing 4-3-3 according to Channel 5.

Looking forward to this myself, haven't seen Saints play since the Coventry game I think.

The crowd looks abysmal. Do I feel embarrassed by watching on TV?

No I don't. Its the simple result of the costs involved.

Just showed 5 fat blokes in replica shirts scoffing food.
