Give the guy a chance.

It's harsh to judge him before he's even kicked a ball.

Whilst his CV isn't that great, the lad deserves a chance to prove himself.

If he turns out to be absolute cack then so be it, but criticising him before he's made an appearance is foolish.

Personally I don't think he'll do anything for us, but I would love to be proved wrong.

Maybe a fresh start playing in a youthful side will bring out the best in him. Only time will tell.

But he is **** !!!

Seen him play in the current team then?

No, thought not so you cannot judge on the impact he will or won't have

His form speaks for itself and if you can't see that then that's your problem.

Are you going tomorrow you ****ing eejit ?

Sounds like he is back in training from the OS.

Ive got a feeling he could make a difference, maybe in the same way Marsden used to. He sounds like a committed player who wants to hassle people and get stuck in, maybe a more mobile Wotton.

After the absolute slagging off he got when he signed it would be great for him to prove people wrong.

Can't see how how you can compare Pullis with Marsden who was a regular 1st team player for Brum, Wolves, Stockport etc throughout his career unlike Pulis who has failed to hold down a first team place at any club.

Hes crap,

He cant get a game anywhere else,

No one else wants him,

Hes cheap,

He sure fits into Ruperts plan.

Like Stevo and Um's deal. I bet you you can't go a post without mentioning Rupert Lowe in some way...

(oh and i replied to you post Um - it's on page one...probably best ignored though, the beers have been flowing this evening...)

A post without mentioning RUPERT?

Of course i dont have to mention LOWE everytime i make a post.

It would be boring if RUPERT LOWE was always mentioned.

Anyway i was thinking of buying my nephew a RUPERT the bear for Christmas, but my sister said i was a cheapskate because the price was too LOWE.

I cant see why you think i keep mentioning our Chairman?

If you come into the Dellbar before the game tomorrow,i will gladly stand you a beer mate!

I'm having to give up my ticket for tomorrow due to prior arrangements...man is my dad ever p:ssed at me...i'm sure the conversation in which i said i could make it never happened...but then he's at the cheaper tickets age so i'm sure he dreamt it! Mind you a free beer on the table might just change things!

If anyone wants a ticket btw...it may be there if the old man hasn't got rid of it...pm's welcome...

He talks a lot of sense actually...and even got a copy of the company report...then did up a little spreadsheet...as a previously qualified accountant and business owner it made for interesting reading...

Anyway...there's a few seats going spare if you don't want to sit next to him!

I had you down for a Gin drinker :smt005

To quote Wikipedia:

Gin became popular in England after the government allowed unlicensed gin production and at the same time imposed a heavy duty on all imported spirits. This created a market for poor-quality grain that was unfit for brewing beer, and thousands of gin-shops sprang up throughout England. By 1740 the production of gin had increased to six times that of beer, and because of its cheapness it became popular with the poor. Of the 15,000 drinking establishments in London, over half were gin-shops. Beer maintained a healthy reputation as it was often safer to drink the brewed ale than unclean plain water. Gin, though, was blamed for various social and medical problems, and it may have been a factor in the higher death rates which stabilized London's previously growing population. The reputation of the two drinks was illustrated by William Hogarth in his engravings Beer Street and Gin Lane (1751). This negative reputation survives today in the English language, in terms like "gin-mills" to describe disreputable bars or "gin-soaked" to refer to drunks, and in the phrase "Mother's Ruin," a common British name for gin.

And i distinctly remember hearing that it was offered as a gin soaked rag for the particularly poor...now there's a thought...

I however would not accept a gin soaked rag...

That said we all reach a stage where the beer is too much...and a g&t would be one of the drinks i would fall back on along with a vodka, lemon and lime yes

Not entirely sure what your point is though...

I'll accept whatevers going though...unless your pockets are a little too deep?

Just as I thought, a wind up merchant and a bore

Hey Scuddy, let me know when you can tear yourself away from your Saturday football and can spare 5 mins for SFC..............I'll have a bag of nuts waiting for you.

As long as it doesen't coincide with your appearence on Jeremy Kyle that is :smt014

I can only assume you're drunk...either that or can't read properly...

Stevo is playing football tomorrow. Fair play to him. He's a young guy. Enjoys his football. Go for it...

I however have a prior engagement. That is why i won't be able to honour the ticket bought for me....

Not entirely sure where the Jeremy Kyle put down comes from though. But i'm about as middle class as they come if you're really that interested so unlikely to appear on the show...

If you were to actually bother reading my Main Board posts you'll see i'm far from a wind up though...

Although i'm more than happy to make fun of people taking themselves too seriously...not on this occasoin however...

Fcuhk me, so here's a player who is 24, has already played at 5 clubs under numerous managers/coaches and who has made 20 league appearances in the lower reaches, and just because people doubt he will be our saviour they get branded as being negative.

If he was any good he wouldn't be anywhere near us.

Get in the real world.

Exactly, some Saints fans prefer life in cloud cuckoo land

He also sounds like a crock who has managed about 20 first team appearances in over five years for 7 different clubs.

Pinning our hopes on him to make the difference is somewhat clutching at straws.

Not knocking him, just can't see how he will be able to be the difference we need (and always happy to eat humble pie).

Now stop it!!! That's twice I've had to agree with you this week!!!

I think we are all desparate for someone to make the difference - Schneiderlin coming back would be better.

I didn't mean to say Pulis is or will be as good a player as Mazza was but simply that everyone thought Mazza was a crap signing and he proved us wrong. Maybe Pulis can do the same.

Maz was a journey man but did play for all of his clubs on a regualr basis, but at the age of 24 (Pulis's current age) Maz had played 144 professional games (10 goals)for Sheffield Utd, Huddersfield and Coventry
