we must make a packet out of this one!

Tottenham have agreed to sell Gareth Bale to Barcelona for £40million, according to reports in Spain.

There has been much speculation about Bale’s future, with the Nou Camp regularly talked about as a possible destination for the Welshman.

And Marca TV programme, Futboleros, is now claiming the La Liga club have reached an agreement with the north Londoners for the sale of the 22-year-old.

They now need to agree personal terms with Bale and Futboleros are reporting they will offer him a five-year contract on €5million a year.

What other sell on fees do we potentially have out there?

Do we have one for Walcott and AOC? as i can remember there was no sell fee on for Shearer when he went to Newcastle which was lunacy or Kenwyne when he moved to Stoke from Sunderland as nobody ever expected he'd go for more!

Erm, didn't we give up the Bale (and Walcott) add-ons when scrambling for cash in admin led us to renegotiate the deals for cash up front ?

I doubt we'll have the same problem with Oxlade-Chamberlain.

It's on Talk Sport so it's probably cobblers anyway.

It's an old story frrom early May. Bale signed a new contract with spurs since then I believe.

I did wonder why the SSN interview with Bale earlier was only about Luca Modric (and lasted 2 seconds before he was shepherded away).

The usual level of Talk Sport and Saintsweb accuracy then !
