St Marco Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 Obviously this will be our hardest game yet this season. If the Wolves who are at the top of the league turn up and the Saints who played Bristol turn up it will be a massacre. I want to say were win i really do. But it reminds me of games before where i have been really confident we could get something out of a game and we end up lose badly. We will see if this team is like Saints teams of previous years that can stand up to the better teams and get something. I really hope we are. I want to say a 2-1 Saints win but that would be my heart rulling my head. I think it will be a Wolves 0-3 win.
krissyboy31 Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 If form has anything to do with it Wolves will win comfortably. I'm clutching at the straw that says we have always had a good record (could even be seen as a bogey team) against Wolves. Therefore Saints 2-1.
eelpie Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 0 - 4 I fear, but I hope Saints play entertaining football to make the trip worthwhile.
Bailey Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 2-1 Saints. That's not a typo either, I genuinely think we'll win. Not sure why but stranger things have happened in football!
Arizona Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 3-0 to Wolves. I would like to see us at least get a goal, but sometimes I get the feeling even that is asking too much.
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 Saints Nil Wolverhampton Wanderers at Least 4
Mole Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 I think Wolves may well humiliate us tomorrow. I'll stick my neck out and say Saints 0 - 6 Wolves.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 (edited) 0 - 4 I fear, but I hope Saints play entertaining football to make the trip worthwhile. An entertaining 4 nil defeat, just how is that possible:confused: If we don`t find some steel and include a decent amount of experience we will be beaten comfortably.. Iwelumo will murder our centre backs i fear Edited 14 November, 2008 by ALWAYS_SFC
um pahars Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 A scrappy and flukey (who cares) 2-1 win. Late winner bein a richochet off someone's ar56e
Ziggy Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 I'm really looking forward to the game and fancy us to get a draw 2-2.
SuperMikey Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 I'm a realist. 6-2 Wolves. And i'm being optimistic in saying that we'll score twice..
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 I'm really looking forward to the game and fancy us to get a draw 2-2. I'm really not looking forward to the game and fancy us to lose 3-1 , or 4-0 if Paul Wotton and BWP get selected again .
Plumstead_Saint Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 I'm going to be praying for a 2-1 win, but expecting us to lose 2-0 or 2-1
ottery st mary Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 Saints to win 4-1... Not sure why..but you never know. Come on Saints....Is Lowey still here by any chance?
Toadhall Saint Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 If we get anything out of this game I'll be amazed.
70's Mike Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 Southampton 9 Wolves 3 sorry that was over 40 years ago , tomorrow who knows and as only 14000 care it seems to me that those who go to games will expect nothing.

I wonder how many there were there in 1965 will be there tomorrow Edited 14 November, 2008 by John B
70's Mike Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 I wonder how many there were there in 1965 ? probably more Saints fans than will be there tomorrow. I was 11 at the time and remember Tony Knapp heading into his own goal to put Wolves one up and that all the scoring finished after an hour
Evil Monkey Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 Saints (Random guess that I have 'a feeling' about) Wolves (As above)
Crab Lungs Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 Wloves have an excellent habit of shooting themselves in the foot when they've got a good thing going. So I'm predicting a win for Saints, 2-0. Bizarre...
Dalek2003 Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 Wloves have an excellent habit of shooting themselves in the foot when they've got a good thing going. So I'm predicting a win for Saints, 2-0. Bizarre... Wow, Crab Lungs, one of the originals !!!! Anyway, I can't see us getting a thing in this match, not a thing. Sorry !
Micky Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 Saints - not a sausage...! V Wolves - double figures...? Dreading 4.50 tomorrow afternoon...!!!
corsacar saint Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 Although I am a great believer in the law of averages[ and Wolves are certainly due to beat us someday soon], I think that could work in Saints favour tomorrow, and it may just play on Wolves mind, that they have not beaten us for so long.
Saints67 Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 Wolves are bringing nearly 3000 fans............so are we!
rocknrollman no2 Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 ...........so are we! Thanks Saints67. I nearly spat out my whiskey laughing at that!!!
Mr X Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 i predict attendance to be around the 6,000 mark
dubsaint Posted 14 November, 2008 Posted 14 November, 2008 it will be a hard fought 0 - 0, and we will end the day in the bottom 3
egreog Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 Ummmmmmm. gotta be Saints 0-3 Wolves..........they could probably score a lot more, but once 3 nil up will sit back sand let Saints do their usual pretty huffing and puffing to no avail!!
It's There Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 Saints 4 Wolves 3...a highly entertaining game with Saints roaring back from 3 : 0 down after 45 mins, with our first going in on the stroke of halftime (45+1), DMG t score the winner! I'm soooooo optimistic!
dubai_phil Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 Oh how incovenient for our armchair would be politicians. A football match I don't predict, I don't try and guess the team, I just WISH I was able to be there, and thank FOOK we aren't on tv today so i don't have to suffer againg

A football match I don't predict, I don't try and guess the team, I just WISH I was able to be there, and thank FOOK we aren't on tv today so i don't have to suffer againg contradiction you want to be here but not suffer again
1976_Child Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 we are going to stuff wolves by only losing 0-2.
dubai_phil Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 contradiction you want to be here but not suffer again Ah the joys of suffering at SMS or an away ground, instead of being surrounded by loads of Liverpool/WBA/Chelsea/Arsenil fans. At least then the pain is a shared experience, over here they only stick us on one tv in the corner of the pub without the sound on and then all look at us in that way you would look at a .... well you know, at least at SMS I can get a pint of real ale on the way there.... I share your pain mate! Anyway, there won't be any suffering we'll play 4-4-2 at home.... Oh b*gger JP's still there
Toomer Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 I wonder how many there were there in 1965 will be there tomorrow I was there with my dad, 11 years old at the time.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 dont think weve lost to wolves in the league since 62,correct me if im wrong, alas i think today they will do us,3-1 to the wolves, hope im wrong,COYR
Mr X Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 the problem is we are way to predictacle and easy to play other teams know that all they have to do is nulify the hopeful balls forward to the lone mcgoldrick who gets zero support anyway and what little threat we had is completely extinguished. they also know that any attack down the wing where lancashire plays will in most cases lead to reward
Andy_Porter Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 Anyone know where I can bet on over 4.5 goals today? Can only find over/under 2.5 atm.
Leicestersaint Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 Southampton 9 Wolves 3 sorry that was over 40 years ago , tomorrow who knows and as only 14000 care it seems to me that those who go to games will expect nothing. I was there and as i remember it was 9-3 with about 25 minutes still to go with the whole crowd chanting 'we want ten'! Those were the days, my friend!
saintjay77 Posted 15 November, 2008 Posted 15 November, 2008 tough one to call for a couple of reasons I think. No pressure as the team probably expect to lose so they may relax a bit and if the passing gets going they may have enough about them to nik it. the fans that bother to show up will just be hoping to see the team put some effort in and not roll over so there will be allot less pressure from them also. our home form is rubbish due to team selection and nerves I think. If morgan and Euell are back then the selection is allot better and if we can control the mid field then it might limit wolves chances. So Im actually going for a red and white tinted glasses win or a proud performance draw. COYR's
