Griffo Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Looks like a fair amount of Skates are there to be fair.
TopGun Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Have to object to the thread title and request it should be altered. It takes us down to the lowest common denominator.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Looks like a fair amount of Skates are there to be fair. They are the Best Fans in the World don't you know!?
Turkish Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Looks like a fair amount of Skates are there to be fair. Surprised you're not there with them you skate wannabe.
dune Posted 20 July, 2012 Author Posted 20 July, 2012 lol at the GFA fans "you're not singing any more".
dune Posted 20 July, 2012 Author Posted 20 July, 2012 Looks like a fair amount of Skates are there to be fair. Not really. The ground is about 100 yards from the airport and easy flights from Gatwick or Luton. We'd have taken more.
dune Posted 20 July, 2012 Author Posted 20 July, 2012 GFA = 100% SFC. Love how they are singing owtsgmi
Matthew Le God Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Rendition of "When the Saints..." from the Gibraltar fans!
doubleonothing Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Any RN ships in at the mo? Might be some matlows boosting the numbers. Always liked Gib. Pompey between a Rock and a hard place. Sure someone can do something with that in a tabloid style.
krissyboy31 Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 How is this at all fair!! A fully fledged national side against plucky little Pompey?
DJ_TOAST Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 how the fck can the skate ****s afford a jolly in Gib at the moment ?
krissyboy31 Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 how the fck can the skate ****s afford a jolly in Gib at the moment ? Nectar points.
Rebel Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 What are they doing playing friendlies in Spain when they are bankrupt and owe people money?
Thedelldays Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 haha pompey online are not happy at the solent commentator sounding like a scummer
Matthew Le God Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 how the fck can the skate ****s afford a jolly in Gib at the moment ? They claim it is all being paid for by the Gibraltar FA (with a population of 30,000 their FA can't have much money) and a local businessman. They said similar last time they went on tour whilst in administration and their accounts showed the club was billed for some of the costs. They lied then, maybe they are lying again...?
dune Posted 20 July, 2012 Author Posted 20 July, 2012 how the fck can the skate ****s afford a jolly in Gib at the moment ? The GFA are covering their expenses. FACT.
doubleonothing Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 How is this at all fair!! A fully fledged national side against plucky little Pompey? Ah! But they aren't a fully fledged national side as UEFA/FIFA refuse to recognise them as Spain complain! So that's that excuse shot down for when The News publish it! What are they doing playing friendlies in Spain when they are bankrupt and owe people money? Sorry to have an MLG moment but they're playing in Gib not Spain. Can only assume they are getting some sort of tax deal.
krissyboy31 Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 The GFA are covering their expenses. FACT. A travesty. They only ship over teams they know they can beat!!
Matthew Le God Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 The GFA are covering their expenses. FACT. How much money does the FA for a population of 30,000 people make each year? Not a lot I'd guess. Certainly not enough to fund flights, hotels and expenses for 25+ people for 10 days.

There's plenty of money in the colony with the off shore bank/online gaming tax revenue. They run a budget surplus and have not been in recession.

krissyboy31 Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Can only assume they are getting some sort of tax deal. TAX DEAL!! WTF do they know about tax!!! It's something that is just not in their vocabulary.

How does the FA of a settlement of 30,000 people make any real money? As I said, last time they were in admin they went on a foreign tour claiming it was paid for by sponsors. Their accounts showed the club were billed some of the costs. They lied before, maybe they are lying again...?

They lied before, maybe they are lying again...? did I say the GIB FA paid for it..? maybe the local government wanted them here.. stop arguing for the sake of it

Certainly not enough to fund flights, hotels and expenses for 25+ people for 10 days. See above. They are currently fighting for uefa membership (spain objects) and the government are no doubt funding this and playing high profile games (at their level) is a part of the build up. IMO they are a good team and deserve to be members if the likes of san marino are. The issue will be decided next year when the governing body next meets and it just so happens the chair is held by England and the meeting is in London so fingers crossed.
doubleonothing Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 TAX DEAL!! WTF do they know about tax!!! It's something that is just not in their vocabulary. True. They probably stowed some of the cash they were supposed to pay tax with in a Gibraltar account then. In the name of their dog.

dubai_phil Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 FFS stop with the arguing and just enjoy the laughing at them. A skate fan businessman was "conned" into paying "a 5 figure sum" for the trip
Matthew Le God Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Pompey are playing Brighton soon, it is going to be a massacre!
krissyboy31 Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Hey I lost the stream :-( They only gave the cameraman 2p in the £.
Thedelldays Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 gib are actually taking the pish......the Ole's are in full flow and it was nearly 4-0
doubleonothing Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Sign the Gib keeper for his "juggling" there.
mcjwills Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 This team is gonna rip League 1 apart. Gibralta I mean not the 9th class opponents.
supergoose Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Judging by this Forecast could have done a job for the Skates. Shame he was way beyond their budget.
dubai_phil Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 For everything else there is Mastercard Priceless. We don't need PTS etc to take the p1ss they're better at doing it to themselves
Matthew Le God Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 The commentator just said "There is no shame being 4-0 down to Gibraltar". Umm...!
