Turkish Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/334041 This is an outrage. I'm sending them a strongly worded email. How out of touch can you be? This anti Saints agenda the media have is a disgrace.
Appy Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/334041 This is an outrage. I'm sending them a strongly worded email. How out of touch can you be? This anti Saints agenda the media have is a disgrace. LOL, that is apalling.
St.Patrik Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 LOL - just shows how much papers care about teams other then the big 4....
Tokyo-Saint Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Hahaha dune reads that paper, although I think it is only for the Diana articles.
alpine_saint Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 I have noticed in recent times just how bad the articles from supposed quality national papers have been getting in terms of accuracy and speling. About the only paper where I have seen no decline is the Guardian, much as I dislike its politics.
Turkish Posted 20 July, 2012 Author Posted 20 July, 2012 The wrong manager, the wrong picture. And it says "our maiden premier league campaign" do they not know we were founder members and in top flight for 27 consecutive years FFS.
Stattmeister Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 The wrong manager, the wrong picture. And it says "our maiden premier league campaign" do they not know we were founder members and in top flight for 27 consecutive years FFS. Turkish, don't forget the players' name as well... just missing Bonnie.
Lymsaint Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Dune says this is a great paper and never gets things wrong!!!!
lifeintheslowlane Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Appalled, outraged but above all amused. Letter sent to my MP.
Turkish Posted 20 July, 2012 Author Posted 20 July, 2012 Turkish, don't forget the players' name as well... just missing Bonnie. It's incredible that a supposedly proffesional journalist could make so many errors in such a small article.
trousers Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 It's incredible that a supposedly proffesional journalist could make so many errors in such a small article. I see what you did there....
dubai_phil Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 That is sooooo FB'd & tweeted. ROFL. Almost as funny as Trousers being with O2. All it needs now to complete the set is that he works for Barclays & has his life savings in HSBC
solentstars Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/334041 This is an outrage. I'm sending them a strongly worded email. How out of touch can you be? This anti Saints agenda the media have is a disgrace.why worry its in the express a paper no one hardly buys anymore...newspapers are on the way out long term,i would be more upset if it was on skysports
SNSUN Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 I have noticed in recent times just how bad the articles from supposed quality national papers have been getting in terms of accuracy and speling. About the only paper where I have seen no decline is the Guardian, much as I dislike its politics. I'm guessing that was intentional, right? :-D
trousers Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 All it needs now to complete the set is that he works for Barclays & has his life savings in HSBC
trousers Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 What I really want to know is....was this announced quick enough for CB Fry....?
Pancake Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Anyone know why the "Nigels Ad It" thread was locked?
SNOWY Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Hilarious! You know I've never seen a nipple in the Daily Express..
trousers Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Anyone know why the "Nigels Ad It" thread was locked? because they want to keep it quiet that Pearson is coming back to us?
whizzpop Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 The reporter can't be a football fan, or follows it from a distance..how has this even passed through the sports editor?
supersonic Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 What more do you expect from a right-leaning paper. Completely out of touch with the time
This Charming Man Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Is that actually real and not some mock up someone's done?
Professor Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 It did get the Nigel bit right, and the Nathaniel so in terms of accuracy by the Daily Express thats about as good as it gets. The Duke of Edinburgh once described the Express as "a bloody awful newspaper, but what can you expect from a paper edited by Rupert Bear.
Saint_clark Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Is that actually real and not some mock up someone's done? A quick search from the homepage of the site shows it is actually real. That is amazingly bad.
dune Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 What more do you expect from a right-leaning paper. Completely out of touch with the time What complete and utter nonsense.
Saint_clark Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Let's not turn this into a political debate, eh?
This Charming Man Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 I think this is brilliant. The reporter who did it was probably a Skate.
red&white56 Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Very poor journalism. I think the Sports Editor should get a kick up the backside for letting this through!
Under Weststand Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Hilarious has to be one of the worst pieces of badly researched journalism of all times. How you can get so much wrong in such a short article outstanding. But they at least did get a picture of a previous manager called Nigel , and seems we're signing the Orangutan from every which way but lose.
Victor Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 What complete and utter nonsense. So are you saying it is NOT right-leaning? I think you have just lost all credibility.
Patrick Bateman Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 I think this is brilliant. The reporter who did it was probably a Skate. Exactly! It does go on - it can't possibly be that bad otherwise.
supersonic Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 What complete and utter nonsense. why is it nonsense?
OldNick Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 it has been edited now and the picture and Clyne's name corrected
VectisSaint Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 I think this is brilliant. The reporter who did it was probably a Skate. Silly, Skates can't write
saint1977 Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 They were probably distracted by the latest Princess Diana conspiracy article that the owner was dictating to the work experience or some rabidly far right article on the UK leaving the EU with quotes from the Taxpayers Alliance. The Express - a family newspaper - except for the fact that the owner has also allegedly had a number of 'blue' channels in his business portfolio. Says it all really.
Dig Dig Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 The BBC don't even have the Gazza signing as a headline. One of the biggest signings of the summer doesn't even get a mention The BBC are leading this media vendetta against the club, I'm certain of it
boxosponge Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 i have penned a strongly worded letter to Lord Beaverbrook demanding that his minions keep themselves more up to date..
