Weston Saint Posted 17 July, 2012 Posted 17 July, 2012 Although the fee paid to Spurs was undisclosed it was known to be £1m although that fee was muddied by the transfer of Bale to Spurs. Forecast came through Spurs academy and it was his display for the under 18's which earned him promotion to the first team although he only benched 6 times. He was bought to Lowes attention by Lowe's Dutch adviser (cannot remember his name but he was always behind the scene) This advisor told Lowe that Forecast had a bright future hence the fee and the long 5 year contract. Soon after he joined our Goalkeeping Coach of the time allegedly told Lowe that Forecast would never be a goalkeeper. Soon after the Coach was put on garden leave!! Forecast must have had something in his early years or he would not have been training with Spurs first team. It seems he has failed to develop but it is strange that as a 17 year old he made such an impression in the youth cup run yet now he is supposed to be useless. Something must have happened!!
wild-saint Posted 17 July, 2012 Posted 17 July, 2012 As many may have seen on pretty much every thread on his guy. I hate him. Yes he may be a terrible goalkeeper. My issue with him is his personality. One word, tosser! have you ever met him and spent significant time with him to form a judgement on his personality out of interest?
cadiz saint Posted 17 July, 2012 Posted 17 July, 2012 have you ever met him and spent significant time with him to form a judgement on his personality out of interest? Just wondering if you'll have golden balls when you reach puberty.
Golden Balls Posted 17 July, 2012 Posted 17 July, 2012 (edited) have you ever met him and spent significant time with him to form a judgement on his personality out of interest? Yes. Believe it or not, my opinion wasn't formed on a guess. He's a massive pr**k Edited 17 July, 2012 by Golden Balls

I remember that very well, Malcolm Webster was very, very vocal over this transfer because at the time we were trying our damn hardest to get rid of Davis believe it or not. Forecast at the time was signed with a view of being competition for Bart.
wild-saint Posted 17 July, 2012 Posted 17 July, 2012 Just wondering if you'll have golden balls when you reach puberty. mine was a genuine question, not sure what your question means to be honest. although i assume you are incinuating that im a school kid.
Cascadia Saint Posted 17 July, 2012 Posted 17 July, 2012 what wages is he on then? I have no idea. But I'm sure it's more than the likes of Bromley, Thurrock and Eastbourne Borough want to pay. They didn't even want him to stick around on loan.
Dalek2003 Posted 18 July, 2012 Posted 18 July, 2012 Well unless we get another goalkeeper on loan or through transfer, Fourpast is our 2nd choice keeper and I would suggest he may well get a game this season...in the Premier League !
SaintRichmond Posted 18 July, 2012 Posted 18 July, 2012 Now all he needs is a strong piece of string tying his hand to the BALL, and he'd be in business What a joke .... Saints No 2 (cos that's what he is right now)

It did ..... they suddenly introduced a BALL into the training session

Forecast at the time was signed with a view of being competition for Bart. Shows you that although he'd done a good job in running the club 1997-2003, Lowe had really lost it by this stage and clearly was being advised badly by all sorts of iffy characters. Administration came at the right time, any earlier and we might not have made it to Markus and Cortese but had it not happened we'd be like Bradford struggling with a big stadium in L2 if Lowe and Wilde had stayed any longer. Can't ignore the stupid debt that Wilde and Crouch had built up but at least Crouch put his hand in his pocket when it counted. I was all for bringing in cheaper players and cutting costs at the time but this has been an awful waste of money and it annoys me that the new regime have had to fund the idiocy of bringing Forecast in for the last 3 years with another to go.

Forecast at the time was signed with a view of being competition for Bart. That is not true, at NO TIME did Malcolm, or George Burley, see Bart as a reliable figure to be able replace Davis with him... Forecast was seen as a future replacement for Bart by some, and as someone else has said when Malcolm saw him in a few sessions he realised that he had been "given a duff one". The parting of the waves for Malcolm was after a scouting report on Matt Gilkes was totally ignored, and the way that Richard Wright was treated. Edited 18 July, 2012 by patred44

I didnt realise the Wright was treated badly.
dubai_phil Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 WOw what a stunning morning of news. So glad I didn't make myself look a c()ck by moaning about our Goalkeeping options Southampton FC @officialsaints Meanwhile, Tommy Forecast has joined Gillingham on a season-long loan as part of the deal to sign Gazzaniga. #saintsfc
ottery st mary Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 The mere fact that Spurs were willing to let our Tommy go so easily will tell you all... I first saw him warming up and although I have no clue about football:p like many of my fellow forum posters:D I could see that this lad was going to spend a lot of time carrying the kit hamper around;) Now you all know that Saints have fought tooth and nail to keep our Tommy from going to the Gills:cry: Come on Gazza:D
Professor Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Who could have predicted or conjectured such a move? Could anyone have anticipated, estimated or foretold that we would loan a GK to Gillingham? To foretell or project that such a thing would occur would have needed a very reliable forecast.
Pilchards Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 I think it' time to untie him from the post as he's wanted elsewhere.
Golden Balls Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 I'm a happy man today. The tosser has left the building. Spare a thought for the bars in Bedford Place though, they have lost an income.

dubai_phil Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 I wouldn't wish that on the skates let alone the Gills http://fansonline.net/gillingham/mb/view.php?id=167052 I agree, he doesn't look anything to get excited about based on other supporters comments. However I don't see how it helps anyone to slag him off before we have seen him play! Understand that is a general messageboard mentality though.. Edit: Flitney is out for a month as we'll soon see how good Fourpast is! Those of you with access to online gambling accounts may wish to take advantage of that little nugget in early season form

Or, in this instance, a very unreliable Forecast ... if you know what I mean (and I'm sure you all do!) ....
Saint J 77 Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Has anyone got a link to to the video when he played in goal for Grimsby. The the game their fans said was the worse display they had ever seen by a goal keeper?

melmacian_saint Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Hope they trust their youth goalkeepers. They will need them at the best of their skills. At least they haven't signed him for 5 years... Also dies anyone have any knowledge concerning Gillingham's nightlife? I'm assuming it'll be daily trips to Canterbury for Tommy.
astrasri Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Also dies anyone have any knowledge concerning Gillingham's nightlife? I'm assuming it'll be daily trips to Canterbury for Tommy. No need to go that far, Chatham and Rochester regularly feature in the late police reality tv programs - so he should feel at home there.
Huffton Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 'I told them he was a future England No.1 Kelv, and they swallowed it, even let us have their keeper in return. MUGS!!!!!'
