Go on, I will react to your trolling. Do give an example.

How is it trolling

Just read up on it

He says he is getting too many injuries now with the schedule for county and England

He requested not to play in the one days anymore but the ECB said that is fine but you won't be selected for the T20 also. He was petty miffed as he is one of, of not the best T20 player in the world.

Trott, Cook and others are not required to play all three forms of the game yet the ECB say KP has too (because he is so valuable to them)

Yeah, so valuable they called his bluff about the T20, and may even be thinking of dropping him from tests.

He's become more trouble than he's worth. England are doing fine without him, great team spirit, great work ethic. They need a Billy Big-Balls like a hole in the head.

They wont drop him from tests.. He knows it, flower knows it and the ECB knows it

The only player KP really fell out with was flintoff... He is just asking for the same treatment as other players

As so far, the ECB want him for all forms of the game and are making quiet threats if he does not makes himself available for all forms of the game

Why would they want him so much if he was billy big balls?

I dont agree with you that they do, but assuming for one minute you are correct, it must be that they think he puts bums on seats and shifts merchandising.

Pietersens problems are not just down to codes he will play; its also related to that discipline hearing he had about Twitter posts. The relationship has been gradually souring for some time.

Broad and Anderson were "rested" for the last test v. West Indies. Strauss was allowed to skip the tour to Bangladesh, missing 2 tests.

I expect these were for fitness or personal reasons. The situation with Pietersen is about money - his committments to the IPL.

not to not play in the 1 day format...

the IPL only clashes with 2 of the pre ashes tests

Who is talking about date clashes ?

There was a long interview in one of the papers this week with KP (Telegraph ?)and he made it clear he physically cannot do it all, and he prefers the money of the IPL.

Totally agree with Alpine. Pietersen wanting to miss two home test matches to play in the IPL is a totally different scenario to the Anderson/Broad and Strauss situations. In Anderson and Broad's case, they were both desperate to play in that test match, but Flower pulled them out to give them a chance to rest for the ODI series. In Strauss's case, if i remember correctly, he had had a seriously gruelling time captaining all forms of the game and the ECB decided he needed a rest. In this case, we have a player who himself is asking to be left out for no other reason than to earn a few extra dollars, and to me that is not on.

I was utterly astounded when i read that Pietersen was given a months holiday last month in the middle of the domestic season. If he wasn't playing for England, he should have been playing for his county, or at the very least training with his county. Giving him all that time off has caused a problem, as i think now he believes he is pretty much untouchable and can demand what he likes. England won't want to ditch him as he is a seriously good player, but i just wonder what the other players make of his prima donna attitude (some of whom refused IPL money to make sure they were fit for the start of the english summer).

It's no surprise to me that Pietersen is behaving like a big time Charlie. He was like it at Hampshire as well. I'll always remember one game he played in towards the end of his career at the rose bowl where he had to ask the interviewer 'which one Chris Wood was' when he was asked a question about him!

The guy cares about no one but himself.

Care to tell us who? None of the Test side were picked at the IPL auction, other than KP and Eoin Morgan and he was out there for the whole tournament as he wasnt picked for the tests.

Between 2005 and 2010 KP managed to find the time to play for Hampshire - once.

Sorry, BIT80s, but that was my recollection too. The IPL werent interested in any other English players back then. Not that it justifies KPs attitude.

Pietersen is a plum pudding. Malcom Marshall ( a real legend) manage to to take 870 wickets for Hampshire while combining this with a incredible test career, and he always appeared to enjoy every minute of it. Not only did Pietersen give the appearance of never wanting to play for Hampshire...but now he can't be arsed to play for England....who by the way have not lost a one-day game since he skulked off. Why are we worried about this prima-donna dickwad?

Broad was signed up for IPL but got injured. I'm surprised no one wanted Anderson though.

Pieterson is being a right ****. He can play IPL until he's 40. Commit to tests now, quit international cricket at 36 or 37 and then rake in the cash from worldwide T20 competitions. He still earns cack loads of cash for his half a tournament in the IPL.

No one will remember his IPL average but his test scores and performances will go down in the history books forever. We don't want to go down some ridiculous West Indies style route where no one really knows what forms of cricket half the players are available for.

What needs to happen is that the IPL is shortened to a month and no tests are scheduled in that time. That way everyone will be happy. Until then those chasing the money will always choose IPL.

Was speaking to a well-known current England player down my local in Botley (the night before a recent Hants match), he was pretty boozed up (along with his county Manager, the night before a game too, touché, he had a decent knock the next day) and I started bending his ear re the Ashes tour I went on, the current set up etc. When I asked what he thought of KP and his request to get back into the one day side he simply gave a hand gesture that implied he is a w4nker whilst shaking his head.

For me he’ll always be a legend for his knock at the Oval in 05 to seal the Ashes (what a summer), but his absence at Hampshire and his, frankly bizarre, recent decision making have taken the gloss off him.

Trott and Cook are both available for T20 games, they're just not selected for them as they're not very good at that format.

They did make an exception though for Strauss. I think it's ridiculous that we won't play our best T20 player because he doesn't play ODI's.

Dont agree. He was suffering from a serious slump in form.

Really starting to divide the cricketing world, this.

Alec Stewart saying no player, not even KP, is bigger than the team

Ian Botham telling both sides to get their thumbs out of their rectal cavities and sort it out, and stop dragging the good name of cricket through the mud.

Apparently, one of KPs "obstacles" to continuing Test cricket is a bogus Twitter website called KPGenius, which is written like a diary and is full of first-party narcissitc comments about KP. How the f**k are the ECB to do anything about that, unless he suspects its someone inside the ECB or the England set-up ?

Seems that Club v Country has crept into the game of Cricket. £1.3m to play in the IPL I doubt he is on that kind of money as a retained player for England unless I have missed something. Playing Cricket 12 months of the year all round the world with a young family must be a bit of a chore too. He is also not getting any younger and you can't see him getting into the media, so a few paydays from the IPL might just be part of his exit strategy, and if folks are trying to prevent his own personal plans as he is perceived as a player (possibly the only one at the moment) with character to put bums on seats then it is going to get a bit messy.

Gough on talksport is going mental about it...he says he knows nearly all the players in England and said the bigger group are acting disgracefully (but he would not go into specifics)...saying they want him out

basically they don't like KP being bigger than they are.

he also said that this attitude will sooner rather than later consume England and undo all the good work they have done in the last few years

flintoff has just been on and said "certain players" in the camp are out to get KP and are leaking gossip to the press

Apparently, there is a fake twitter account ripping KP all the time. But the things that are said must come from the squad. Parts of the England squad are s******ing at KP all the time and he has had enough.

It has now come to light that the fake account is not owned by anyone in the squad but Stuart Broad apparently knows who runs it but won't grass.

Also, the ECB are not happy that he wanted To miss the test against the kiwis to play in the IPL

However, the ECB provisionally have Broad and Swann the nod to play in the IPL..... They both never got picked by any team.

All sounds like everyone is to blame here

I was all for branding KP a money-obsessed billy-big-b*ll*cks, but stuff is beginning to surface that suggests there is some serious resentment about him within the England squad and he is being somewhat mobbed.

The ECB needs to get a grip and sort this out, before it wrecks England as a Test-playing nation for a generation to come.

Remember about one rule for KP and another rule for the rest.

KP was not allowed time off to play in the IPL

And Flower took the deciding 1 day game off to go on a break with his family....

some are not happy at all

Seems the ECB have got fat, complacent and arrogant with their #1 status in some forms of the game.
