I have just watched the Luke Shaw interview on SaintsPlayer.

Firstly I don't the lad is blessed with perhaps the best off the pitch intelligence. However we will forgivehim that as he is only 17 and probably hasn't been in front of the camera to much. Needless to say, I lost count of the number of times "like" and "ain't it" were said.

Also, he doesn't sound committed to the club in the slightest.

When questioned about "the 50% youth transfer to the first team" his reply was along the lines of "they do that well here" rather than one of "we do that well here". Along with other comments he makes it comes across as someone who is outside of the team and club rather than a part of the journey and the vision. This is a marked difference to a player like James Ward Prowse who is generally excited to be a part of the team and wants to club to progress and to be a part of it. In comparison Shaw seems VERY detached.

Reckon he will jump ship at the earliest opportunity.

Link to the interview? I wish to carefully analyse his body language etc.

If he looks down and to the left then it means he'll be a Chelsea player by August.

This is the most ridiculous thread I've ever seen in my life. Saint86, what a bellend you are.

The lad is 17, it's probably his first ever interview like that and fwiw when he said "they do that well here" do you not think he was referring to the management?

Pure brilliance

This has eclipsed the "nonce" thread a my favourite

You're getting nonces and ponces mixed up DD. Could lead to an awkward evening if you're not careful.

One to lock. There was me thinking the Cortese thread was bad enough and this 'gem' comes along. I wish the club would finalise the Clyne and Buttner signings as it might stop yet more drivel being posted.

FFS hopefully we sign ex Coventry full back Richard Shaw now, because just today I got 'Shaw' printed on my brand new home and away shirts. Gonna have to pay another £1 parking fee at the Megastore to buy some new tops otherwise :(
