Huffton Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Anyone know who the Asian guy is on Nigels right? Translator for Tadanari? And if so does that mean he's fit to train again?
Thedelldays Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 I think it is Nigel said the other day that Steve Davis will be fully fit very shortly and expects lee to be back in full training towards end of pre season
Matthew Le God Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 It is Tadanari Lee's translator. Adkins said after the games on Saturday that Tadanari Lee has gone to France with them.
S-Clarke Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Yeah, that's Tadanari's translator mate, by all accounts he's now a mingled in member of the squad! he goes everywhere. All the injured players all went on the trip as well, maybe not to play or train hard, but it's important to mingle with all the other lads rather than being left behind.
suewhistle Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Well, his shirt says TT: Tadanari's Translator??
Hopkins Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Well Lee wasn't on the pitch Saturday but that guy was fully involved in helping run the pre game warm ups. So I'd suggest he probably had some coaching experience before and has got himself a tidy little job on top of translating.
Delboy Dave Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Well, his shirt says TT: Tadanari's Translator??
supersonic Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 He doesn't look very committed, I wonder how many times he uses the word "like" or refers to the club as "they"
Thedelldays Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Well, his shirt says TT: Tadanari's Translator?? It means, Ting Tong
Ziggy Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Very good. I meant your comment. I don't know what he is like in goal.
Monk Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 He doesn't look very committed, I wonder how many times he uses the word "like" or refers to the club as "they" love this.
Noodles34 Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 seriously, isnt about time he spoke English by now? I mean the whole world speaks it FFS
mdearlove Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Yeah he was collecting the balls after the warm up as well as warming up with Wilkins and Crosby
Channon's Sideburns Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Bit short for a goalie Oh yeah, like the 6ft 6" Forecast is a world beater......
Fan The Flames Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Nigel is flanked by Rory Underwood and Clive Woodward
david in sweden Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 seriously, isnt about time he spoke English by now? I mean the whole world speaks it FFS oh no they don't - you'd be surprised at the amount of foreigners who struggle with Tourist English - T. Lee can probably manage some basic daily chat, but every new expression he hears will need translating for a while at least. Football terminology may be simple for you , but how do you think it sounds in Japanese? I recall hearing about some of the Swedish players who had trouble understanding Gordon Strachan in the beginning....the funny thing was that some of the English players had the same problem.
david in sweden Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 one interesting question is.....does anyone know who hasn't travelled with the squad? . Is it really the entire playing staff?
dubai_phil Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 one interesting question is.....does anyone know who hasn't travelled with the squad? . Is it really the entire playing staff? Me. I didn't travel
JustinR Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Is he any good in goal? Saw him saturday, thought they had given a prize of meeting the players to some dwarf. He's that small, borderline dwarf no doubt about it
doubleonothing Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Saw him saturday, thought they had given a prize of meeting the players to some dwarf. He's that small, borderline dwarf no doubt about it I thought it was simply a case of
shurlock Posted 16 July, 2012 Posted 16 July, 2012 Tadanari's translator never played the game at any competitive level but has got all his badges and had a coaching job with one of Huddersfield's youth teams before joining us.

Saint_clark Posted 17 July, 2012 Posted 17 July, 2012 Watching Adkins interview on Saintsplayer and some of the training footage they're showing is very promising, the players look really, really sharp.

Badger Posted 18 July, 2012 Posted 18 July, 2012 The only Japanese connection with initials TT was something like 'Tiger Tanaka' or similar. This however was James Bond's contact in You Only Live Twice. But with the power of Google : Tadanari's translator never played the game at any competitive level but has got all his badges and had a coaching job with one of Huddersfield's youth teams before joining us. it brings up a geezer by the name of Tsuyoshi Takano. Is it he perhaps ? http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/tsuyoshi-takano/23/a00/19b

Badger Posted 18 July, 2012 Posted 18 July, 2012 Is noted as manager of non-league Wakefield as recently as 2011: http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/all-change-at-wakefield-8625/ Wakefield, and Huddersfield connections worry me. I don't think he's a jap at all, his real name is probably Arkwright, he who pigeons and drinks at The Three Ferrets nr Tadcaster. He's really here as a translator for Billy Sharp.
