Junction 9 Posted 14 July, 2012 Posted 14 July, 2012 It's much better than the home kit, let's face it.
Ewell Posted 14 July, 2012 Posted 14 July, 2012 It's much better than the home kit, let's face it. Yep I totally agree with that. I think the home it is one of the worst we have ever had.
Saints foreva Posted 14 July, 2012 Posted 14 July, 2012 Would have preferred this one to have been the home kit.
Gingeletiss Posted 14 July, 2012 Posted 14 July, 2012 Here we go again..............it's here, it's our kit for this season, get over it! there are quite a few Saints fans out there, that actually like it, myself included, and I fully intend to get both.

Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 14 July, 2012 Posted 14 July, 2012 Away kit is cool. Home is just a rip off 80's Liverpool kit for which the club should be ashamed. I'm voting with my wallet on this one as I'm sure many others are. The club will soon see that if they churn out rubbish like that then they won't make as much from kit sales.

To be honest, i doubt it - going by the demand on launch day. It will be one of our best selling home kits in the last 3 years, and they will make a fair $$ from it.

Gingeletiss Posted 14 July, 2012 Posted 14 July, 2012 Won't the home kit clash with your hair? A typing troll, wherever next!
Essruu Posted 14 July, 2012 Author Posted 14 July, 2012 Whoever made that banner add needs firing It's a good job you weren't commissioned for the job, with spelling like that.

Yep, those record sales when the home kit went on sale showed them who's boss!! Sorry, I forgot - people are only buying the home kit because we're back in the premier league ... blah blah blah

It is in no way a ringing endorsement of the design unless you are suggesting a red and white kit lauch would have been greeted with boxes and boxes of shirts gathering dust in empty shops and no one in the store on launch day.
doubleonothing Posted 14 July, 2012 Posted 14 July, 2012 Has this one got "stripes" on the back like the home kit?

What a load of crap! The only ones claiming people are only buying the shirt because we're back in the premier are the ones who don't like it. I know plenty of people who have bought it and not one of them dislikes it.

I actually predicted that before it went on sale.
Chez Posted 14 July, 2012 Posted 14 July, 2012 Love the white kit, not seen it in the flesh but it looks the best kit I've seen us have. White kits make teams look bigger. A classic season and all the kits will become classics.

A classic season and all the kits will become classics. Saw it yesterday in the West Quay shop. I'm really not a fan of either (in fact, I'm quite annoyed about the red home kit), so could be biased but I think the white kit isn't a patch on the sash kit. I think the red pinstripes deaden the white somewhat, to the point that I wouldn't be surprised if it was a less white material than the sash kit used. The big solid areas of white on the sash kit made our players stand out a mile and frankly changed the way I think about shirts.

We are selling more of everything because we're back in the Prem. Or do you think we are selling more season tickets because of our new kit too? And finally, there are a lot of people that don't like it. That's a fact whether you like it or not. Anyway. Don't want to get into this again.

ericofarabia Posted 14 July, 2012 Posted 14 July, 2012 From the Video Clips of Arse game today - the Red stripes were virtually impossible to see.
Didcot Saint Posted 15 July, 2012 Posted 15 July, 2012 Would be better with Red lettering and numbers to match the rest of the trim rather than plain black, otherwise it's really nice.
Saint Charlie Posted 15 July, 2012 Posted 15 July, 2012 Both the kits are spoiled by the sponsor logo looking so cheap.
doggface Posted 15 July, 2012 Posted 15 July, 2012 In the promos the aap logo was red, but it ended up black. Would have been better red and I agree with red names and numbers. Looks too plain. I prefer home kit
Webby Posted 15 July, 2012 Posted 15 July, 2012 From the Video Clips of Arse game today - the Red stripes were virtually impossible to see. Same goes for the 'white' stripes on the home kit. For me, what makes this kit less of a saints kit (cos as many have pointed out, we wore a mainly red shirt back in the mid 80's) is the fact that the shorts and socks are red. Stick it with black shorts and white socks and it might look ok.
Lighthouse Posted 15 July, 2012 Posted 15 July, 2012 If you sit in an odd block number buy the red shirt, if you sit in an even block buy the white. Then we have our lovely stripes back again. Simple.
